im thinking of going to school at wyotech to become a motorcycle mechanic. i was wanting to no if any one on here is a mechanic.and where did you go to school or how did you start out any input would be great

I learned helping my uncle when he was at Moores Suzuki and thewn I just jumped into it, remember it takes time to work your way up the payscle and sometimes its just better to specialize and work with a few shops

all my technicians and a few friends went to MMI either florida or arizona thats the best bet you have to get into and good positions honestly kinda pricey tho

very true story man hard to get a good paying job take dyno or engine performance classes you could look at working for a privateer...dont take general classes tho due harley or honda specific classes etc

MMI near Orlanda is a good one from what I have heard. Pricey though. I am with this guy^. If I was going into it I would definitely do the Harley program, even though I love sport bikes. These bikes are always having problems and the majority of technology on them is archaic. Think of them as the Benz of the bike world. Decent,(cough), product with a high price of entry = high maintenance cost because of the name plate on the product. This, or you could try Ducati.

Do you know any motorcycle mechanic near by Michigan, I have searched many sites but didn’t getting a good one. I have a Ducati and hero Honda slender bikes which need some engine oil job .
