i was browsing different ways to roll the fender, cause im poor and dont have the money to pay somebody else to do it. i ran across the baseball bat method the eastwood fender roller which i have seen do a phenomenal job (thanks ShawnZ) i also saw this (http://www.eastwood.com/fender-finisher.html) it seems like it works in the video they have, but so does the shamwow anybody have any experience with anything like this?

Thats a fender bender.. lol I have never seen one like that actaully. I have heard the bat method working well with some. I guess it comes down to which method you can work with best. I would be scared of paint chip with that thing though

It looks good.. the only problem I see is that it might actually flatten outside of the fender instead of actually rolling the inside lip.. the bmw in the vid already has a flat point that he is working with making it work quite well.. Im wondering wether it would flaten out a fender that is curved..

To be totaly honest I meeessed up my drivers side fender using the baseball bat method.. Ive seen some good products from the baseball method but I completely failed at it lol.. On the passenger side I tried something a little different.. I got some needle nose vice grip's and just grabbed the lip on the under side and pulled it up.. Then used a small hammer and flattened it the rest of the way up.. The passenger side looked profesionaly done.. The drivers side on the other hand looked horrible.. It as bent out of wack and the paint had chipped off.. Ill be renting an actual roller for the 2+2 though.. IMO if you want it done right just go ahead and drop the extra cash and have it looking clean.. thats just my .02 though

on 240s thr front fenders are pretty easy to roll with a bat, The Rear on the other hand, require a bit Beating with a hammer due to being reinforced, but i did mine with a ball peen hammer and a bat and they look damn good, i did crack the paint but i didnt heat it either, and cracking was minimal, the key is to be sure u get any gravel ect, off the lip other wise when u beat it in it will leave indention of the debris inside the rolled lip, that are actually visible high spots. But like i said Bat and hammer and a couple hours and ull be fine. I u need help, id drive out if u toss me some gas money.

I just did my rears a couple of weeks ago with a regular household hammer. I didn't chip any visible paint either. Only took about 30-45 minutes to do it.

lolz that looks fantastic for it to be done with a baseball bat.. I wish i had a pic of my drivers side fender on the red Z.. It was super busted.. Not quite as bad as aaron's quarter though lol.. I would be content with the way squirks looks knowing it was done with the baseball bat method

this is a funny thread. i wouldn't think to use a baseball bat to fix dents. but if your skilled enough, then that's what's up.

No one is talking about fixing dents with a baseball bat. The discussion is about rolling fenders.

the reason i havent bought a bat yet is cause i have the feeling my fenders would be rolled instead of out when i got done
