went to cornith miss friday night to pick up my new toy, 05 cbr600rr has a few aftermarket things done to it, yoshimura rs-5 slip on fender elimanation kit flush front turn signals.
bike needs a new rear tire and an oil change and its good to go.
this is my first bike ever to own and ride and i love it. i rode it for 32miles yesterday and it was a blast other than being so cold due to 12degree weather. here is a pic of it, ill get more when i get it out again.

thanks, naww i havent taken the course dont know if i am. im going to go get my permint tuesday so i can start to ride legally on the rode. i wouldnt mind me and a buddy coming up one day and riding with the group, as for the frame sliders, i want some but i dont wanna cut the plastic for them. the bike has been laid down on both sides in gravel it seems, real little nicks, no cracks or bracks just nicks. Hope fully i wont run into no wet pavement, im still going to have a car so im going to try and avoid all the wet conditions that i can.
and thanks for the compliments, your r1 looks great. love the blue and white.

nice bike man. i know how you feel with this weather, my hands want to fall off about 30 mins in...only thing that gets cold.

also, another thing to watch out for as I did when i first started is to ride about 5 miles or so to get the tires up to temp before you whack the throttle...if you don't odds are you'll just spin a little til you grip and be fine.... but you never know, especially as cold as the roads are lately. congrats and be safe

they make the no cut ones but they dont hold up in a crash, they brake easily.

yeah cages do look good, but i dunno if i would want that sticking on the side yeah i know im real picky on what i want, i might just suck it up and eventually just cut the plastic for stnadard frame sliders. i just wanna actually ride the bike, im so tired of the cold.

another thing, for those of you you have a newer bike where to only one headlight comes on while on low beams have you ever got pulled over for a so called headlight out? and if so how do you convince the cop that, that is how it is made.

i would just explain it to the cop and be like hey the bike is made stock this way and the left headlight is acually just a brighter head light. but if he is a dick it can be easialy dismised in court

take the msf course unless you've ridden before. It'll teach you many things that you'll have to learn the hard way otherwise. Personally, I don't want to learn the hard way on a bike :)

as far as the headlight thing...I've never heard of anyone getting pulled over for only one headlight being on, but if your concerned a lot of people mod the headlights so both come on when the low beams are on.

anywho, bike looks sweet. Is it lowered?

yeah the msf course sounds great but 300$ is alot to spend with money being so tight and me just buying this bike, i have rode some dirt bikes and bicycles all my life. as for modding the headlights ill just leave um like it is i plain on getting hid's anyways(yeah yeah i know they blind people because of the glare) and if i happen to get pulled over for one headlight ill just try to explain or go to court.

as the lowering part im not sure. i bought it like it is. Some people seem to think it has been, if you have a pick of a stock 05 600 please post i wouldnt mind finding out. im only maybe 5"10 so the bike is perfect height for me im flate footed on it with both feet while sitting down. but overall i love it, i go and take my permint test tomorrow so i can hopefully be riding it leagally tomorrow.

Glad to see you got a CBR and not a r6 lol.
Just take it really easy once you get use to the bike then you can really see what the bike will do.
RR's love to rev high and that's when it makes real power GL with your test.

thanks alot, yeah i was looking at a few r6's and gsxr's but i just love the cbr. And hell yeah it revs high, 15k i can tell it has alot of power just from riding aroung the block and kinda twisting the gas it wants to move fast. 101hp on a 361pounds bike makes for alot coming from a stock ka 240. hell this thing has almost as much horsepower as my car

Hey now what's wrong with the r6 rev limit is 16500 lol. And i knw up here I think atleast they have a MSG cours at like 125. Or the Harley davidson one is 200 I belive

were you the guy who wanted to trade a white vert for my f4i?
if so, glad you went with the rr instead. you won't get bored with it for a while.
the f4i was a great bike to learn on, but ended up being a wee bit slow in the end, probably better that way though.
