Finally got to go to my first Jayhawks Basketball game. I grew up an hour from Lawrence, and been a life long Jayhawks fan.

Anyhow, the outcome wasn't what I had hoped, but it was a good game and a tough battle. We got outplayed, and the Vols played a good game.

Bolling-Thompson Arena was fucking rocking, and that place was loud as fuck!!! I'm proud of the Jayhawks fans that showed up, we were outnumbered but we still made a lot of noise.

Here's my pics. I did the best I could, but the lighting was a nightmare since we were so high up (section 327, row 3), but not too bad. I got my best pics in action mode surprisingly, but I played with all different modes, and got some sharper pics at 1600 ISO, between 60 and 100 Shutter Speed, and apertures 2.8 to 4.0.

There were only 9 guys in that gym that thought Tennessee would win that game. Considering the events of the previous week I would say this was the single biggest regular season win in UT sports history.

Not only that, but that was the 2nd largest crowd on hand ever, 21,936. last time they had a crowd that big was a game against Florida, and they didn't have the box suites opposite from where I was sitting.

I thought we had a chance when Morningstar hit that 3 to make it 71-68 UT with less than 1:30 to go in the game, but we just went cold after that shot, didn't hit a thing whatsoever.

It was the second biggest crowd since the renovation. ;)

It was a great game. My families has season tickets 20 rows behind the bench since Pearl has been here. I've been to 3/4 of the games since Pearl has been coach and this was by far the best game I've been to.

Kansas has great fans, and it was a great game. Last night's game is what college sports is all about. I have no doubt Kansas will go deep in the tourney. I do wonder why Kansas didn't pound it inside with Aldrich every possession.
