And Now the problem:

http://www.postimage.org/Pq12zAei.jpg (http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=Pq12zAei)

The filter plate is literally almost touching the turbo . I have a relocation kit and that wont even wedge in here. Any suggestions. Other s2000's have ran this before with a fiter relocation kit, i dont know what the deal is.

Unfortunately Im going to have to stop where i started for now :( [/img]

And i dont think it will help, its already turned to where its at the smallest side of the compressor. But ill double check, thanks for the vise though

No problem man, hope you can get it figured out  Might have to have a spacer machined to put in between the turbo and manifold :?

^ try getting another T4 flange (or T3 which ever it is) and stack it between the turbo and mani... it might drop it enough to get it to work, just nee longer bolts at that point

Id find a relocation kit if they make one. I would be worried about the oil filter being that close to the hot turbo.

We have the relocation kit, The turbo is just so close you cant even get the kit on. Its really close, couldnt even stick a finger inbetween them.

i hate the revhard stuff, it put the turbo in such an akward place, and made that housing hit the turbine. The one i did was using an afc it was the suck. nothing fit properly, NOTHING. Build that bottom end as soon as you can. if you can drop the compression to 8.5 or 9:1 you'll see alot more use out of the turbo. The one i did made 45 hp more with turbo, and was the full rev hard kit with 550 inj. on an innovate wideband reading 13.1 at peak.

Havnt read the entire thread, but jsut skipped to the end to help you. What it is hitting is the factory oil cooler/heater. Coolant runs through that adapter to ade the oil in warmer up faster. Just take it off and plug the coolant holes. Relocation kit should fit after that is removed.

Man definitely should check out s2ki in return! ;)... And on s2's with 11:1 yes its a high comp but with proper fuel and tuning it like anything it will be fine... There's a whole fleet of turbo s2's on stock bottom n top end makin anywhere from 250rwhp to 500 without issues b/c they bought the right materials and invested in the right tuning

Fellow S2k'er here. I just joined the forum and already noticing familiar faces - what's up Moody / Tyler.

You should also get on the MCS2K forum on S2ki. There are a lot of knowledgeable mods/mechanics that live here in Nashville.

Supercharger....

You sure about the reliable part? That statement also implies that turbochargers are not reliable...?

10-24-2008, 02:01 PM
turbochargers are not reliable...?

ive owned plenty of them....and personally i wouldnt drive a turbo'ed (non-stock) car to California..

i would feel fine driving the procharger anywhere..
