Myself, I prefer Xbox 360, I've owned them all, 360 has better exclusive games, better online service, better customer service, more comfortable controllers, better media features, the only thing it doesn't have compared to the rest, is motion sensor, which is ghey anyway.

personally am a fan of PC's, although most games dont get to them.

the only game that would get me to break my standard protocol is GT5 when it comes out.

PS3/360 get more game attention, but PC will always be one step ahead in graphic quality, as theres always a more powerful PC processor than there is in consoles.

and for all those people who play FPS's, if you dont have a mouse n keyboard, you're doing it wrong...

i have very little lag issues. i have played 360 and ps3 and i lose connection on MW2 just as much on 360 as i do PS3. I mean seriously they just came out with a game called MAG for PS3 its 256 people per GAME! and theres about as much lag as MW2. PS3 owns. Wii is better than 360 :P

I've got all 3 of the new systems ( they're really mostly my brothers and I don't play much ) and I feel like I have a pretty objective view on the subject.

The 360 has a ton of 3rd party producers and a well seeded online community ( despite having to pay ). That and the fact that they came out about a year in advance helps right? ( It did for the PS2 ) Needless to say, it's scratched 2 of the SAME disc ( GTAIV...I know right? ) so it has pissed me off, but I like the variety of games.

The PS3 doesn't have near the sheer numbers or types of games that the 360 features. Maybe it has to do with the cost required to make a PS3 game versus a 360 game. However, it's free to play online, the visuals are amazing, and I can't wait for GT5. The user interface is kinda fresh and nice too and people are very used to the PS controllers.

The Wii has poor 3rd party support, which has made most people dub Nintendo the "kiddie" company, and they're struggling trying to get out of it. They really don't have to because their market opened up to so many new consumers ( I saw a commercial the other day about a retirement/nursing home community that had Wiis as activites ). It's very inventive, but I don't think a PS3 or 360 owner will crosscheck the Wii and compare them looking for the same thing. The Wii is more a novelty than a hardcore machine. It's fun to pick up and play every now and then. The online stuff is cool. I could spend hours on the weather channel and I've downloaded several old NES and Genesis games.

360 and PS3 I like equally. Each has their games but more often than not, the 360 counterpart performs better on multi-platform titles. Overall compared to others, I don't particularly care for these so far. I think I've played two 360 games (Tales of Vesperia and Assassin's Creed) and one PS3 game (Assassin's Creed 2) all the way through.

Wii I could care less about for the most part but it can be fun with more people and there's actually a few exclusive titles I want, like the sequel to Tales of Symphonia (the first was a GameCube exclusive). Wii was also the only console to get backwards compatibility right so it earns points for that.

PS2 is my favorite of the consoles. It has a shit ton of games I like and I keep buying games for it. Every couple of weeks, me and my roommate head out and start hitting up GameStops and Play n Trade looking for any random PS2 game that looks good. JRPG's are my favorites and PS2 has about a metric fuck-ton and a half of them.

GameCube is right behind PS2 despite the fact I only have 3 games for it and have only played one other for it besides them. I like it simply because Legend of Zelda: Windwaker and the real Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess were on it. I also have Tales of Symphonia for it and I've played the Metal Gear Solid remake for it. It also has my favorite of all controllers. GameCubes are dirt cheap and almost pointless now as the Wii can play any GC game and use all the accessories.

And my long standing favorite platform which is not a Console at all, PC or to be more correct, Windows. I'm covered in Windows games. I was a strictly PC gamer for years until I bought a GameCube about 2 years ago. I have say PC has lost a bit of favor in me as I've lost my interest in FPS's as of late. Since my jump into JRPG's, that's about all I've been playing for over a year now. Every once in while I'll break out the FPS's (sometimes I'll have a TF2 jones for a week or two) but the PC game well has been a little dry recently so that's really not helping.

I don't like to pick any platform. I try to enjoy all of them. I just go by the title. If it's exclusive to one platform then that's what I'm gonna play. If it's multi-platform, I find the one that best suits me. I play FPS's and Race/Flight sims on the PC, I play JRPG's and Action Adventure games on consoles. Sometimes it's just which is most convenient. Well, my roommate had Assassin's Creed on XBOX360. That's free. The PC version would have cost me money. Assassin's Creed 2, it would have been nice to play it on 360 so the controls would be familiar but again, my roommate had the PS3 version, so that's fuckin free. Otherwise, I would observe which performs better. If that's irrelevant then well, whatever. I just grab one.

I just fixed a console stamped 09 in production date, actually, my last 9 360 trash consoles were all 09 stamped.

I've had 1 PS3 in the year and a half I decided I didn't want to wait for microshaft to reuse the same terrible compounds and junk they used on the console initially.

The PS3 I had to fix that YLOD'ed was full of dust, and he had it in a small cubby hole. No vent, just recirculation of hot air. I mean, we all know what that does to our engines. So figure it out.

Although you make a great point you forgot to include that it's trash and only kids really seem to buy the 360. At least, thats my general buyer group at work.

Not everyone, but select few people on here that posted about the 360 are typical talkers.

It's no big deal, I'm glad they like their system, I can enjoy it too (If we don't speak about Halo/GOW/MassEffect) their exclusive games are, alright I guess. I had more fun with Uncharted and a few others to really go. 360 is teh greatest OMFG.

I will have to disagree with the 360 controller being uncomfortable because I actually find it more comfortable than the PS2/3 controller. But that doesn't mean I like it. Hell no. It's still a piece of shit that doesn't work right. That is probably my biggest gripe with the 360. The D-pad only takes suggestions and if for any reason reason you need to hold one of the shoulder buttons (not the triggers), your fucked cause they don't like work half the time.

The PS3's controller on the other hand isn't quite as comfortable but the buttons all work correctly. My only gripe is that it's a little small and feels kinda light. I like the heavier weight of the 360 controller and the longer grips.

Still I think the GameCube's controller has been the most comfortable to me. It has a similar feel to the 360's but you know, it actually fuckin works right. My only gripe with it is the retarded location and size of the Z-button but at least it works. However, the only time that it was ever a problem was during Metal Gear Solid. As I've stated in the other thread, many PS3 exclusives in Japan actually wound up with 360 ports in the West because of the popularity but Japan the opposite happens. There are games that are 360 exclusives in the west that get ported to PS3 in Japan only because there, it's more popular. The example I used was Tales of Vesperia. It's a 360 exclusive outside Japan and was originally a 360 exclusive in Japan but PS3 is more popular there so it got ported to make more money.

I see most of the PS3's problems stemming from MS beating them to the punch on release. I figure if they were released around the same time, PS3 would be enjoying much more popularity and more developers would be working with it. But it came late in the game, everybody already had a 360 and didn't wanna shell out 600 big ones for some thing with fewer titles. So developers saw more money in the 360 plus it was easier to program for. I think the programming difficulty would be irrelevant if the system was more popular.

With it's lower price and better design, the PS3 slim has enjoyed more success than the original. The ad campaign helped a pant-load too. More games are coming out for it, it's higher popularity in Japan is also bringing more Japanese titles to the table too. It's still behind the 360 and that's probably gonna remain true for quite a while but it is plenty respectable now.

Still, I own neither. I just have a cool as shit roommate that let's me use his shit cause I'm a cool as hell roommate that lets him use my shit. I play his PS3 and 360 while he uses one of my spare PC's and plays games on my gaming PC.

I bought my Xbox specifically because of Xbox Live. Playing with other people is the most important thing to me - I find it much more entertaining. Xbox Live has an undeniably better online multiplayer environment.

The system war is dumb. Some people buy a system because of "brand loyalty", which is teh ghey in itself. Unless Microsoft or Sony PAY you....who gives a shit. Go with the system YOU like the best. I have had a 360 for a while, it has it's issues, but the online play is amazing! I'm getting a PS3 soon as well......and the wife wants a Wii. It's all about the fun factor...........

My 5 year old son and I love playing the wii. It's a lot of fun. He's getting used to the new super smash bros. and likes playing "Mario and sonic at the limpy winter game" as he calls it. Before that I couldn't get him off of resort. Fun system when a lot of people are around.

I've never owned a 360 or ps3, but if I was going to spend my money on one it would be the ps3. The bluray is great and the controller is the best one ever made. I think that's why it hasn't changed much since the ps1. I'm sure the game titles will catch up. Oh, and the prospect of getting gt5 in the next decade makes it worth it.

We have an xbox360 and a wii. I did have a gamecube just so that I could play Zelda:Twilight Princess. I prefer the xbox just bc of the variety of games. If I want a blu-ray player, those can be had for about $100 now. I just dont see the point in dropping 300 fucking bucks on a console with games I have no desire to play. <shrug> Id rather have my PS2, cant go wrong with the Final Fantasy series. Plus the new Final Fantasy will be available on xbox anyway. No need for PS3

I won't be playin you at all cause I'll be playing on a proper FPS system. This where I get biased. Fuck gamepads for FPS's. Keyboard and Mouse only. Everything else I play except race/flight sims (wheel and flight stick), a gamepad is perfect but FPS's require a keyboard and mouse. WASD FTW!!!

I voted 360. I also have a Wii and obviously a PC though. I think theyre each good for their own purposes (except the PS3).
I never play my Wii unless i have people over (specifically my gf's wierd friends). It's a good party game, but its just not fun by yourself.
PC is good for realism but imo it's harder to get into. I have FSX on my laptop and I play it all the time.
The 360 is a good all around game. I've had my since Christmas of 2005 and never seen the RRoD.
I've played my aunts PS3 a few times. BluRay really is pretty nice. But as I've seen previously in this thread, the controllers are awkward to use. Just not worth it imo.
