Not sure how your license would affect things. I know HPDE 3/4 (which is pretty much open passing) is full. I dunno about TT, etc.

Hey guys, any of you coming down for the Road Atlanta event and would like to paddock with us, PM me for my number. I hang out with the Georgia RX-8 club, but there is a wide variety of cars that are in the group these days... anything from RX-8's and 7's to turbo S2000's, mini coopers, and formula ford's. All ages ranging from several guys in their 40's and 50's to several younger guys. The older guys have some pretty interesting cars for the older guys. Everyone is super friendly. I think one guy is bringing a new motor home. I'm a firm believer that a big part of the "track experience" takes place in the paddock. :)

Not sure yet as it depends on getting the car done. Hopefully I won't be down to the wire, but it normally is with these things. Ideally, I'd like to leave Friday morning so I can get there mid day. I would of liked to driven on Friday and got some seat time before the Time Trials, but it's prob. not in the cards.

I'll be there in the black 350Z running TTB (#198 ). I think the frightening instability at NSS this weekend was due to a bad wheel bearing, we shall see! Robbie Patton will also be there running HPDE2 in his evil black Z06 (that I happily soiled the driver's seat in yesterday when he let me run the final session at NSS... OMFG that thing is fast!!!). Can't wait!

Cool, you are running it? Are you bringing (I assume) the MR2? Or the NSX? You looked fast in the MR2 at our CRSCCA "Weatherman Lies!" autocross last weekend!

I will be there with the MR2. It gets the job done, unfortunately it's not the quickest MR2 in the ETR region (nor am I the quickest driver), so I have my work cut out for me this season :).

I need seat time so that T&T will be likely not be my last visit to a CRSCCA event this year.

You had a bad wheel bearing and still clocked 1:11.xxx all morning? Nice! I was in the flagstand during the morning sessions. You looked good out there and the car sounds awesome. The only car faster was that yellow C6 Z06 with 335 Hoosiers in the back, and he was running 1:10's.

What kind of lsd are you running in that Z? It's all motor right?

Thanks man! It was scaring the buh-jeezus out of me on the banking, swerving like a drunk... at one point, I realized I was countersteering at the pinch under the start tower at 130mph, like, EVERY lap. I thought originally it was a bushing going out and giving deflection, but I have a pretty severely effed-up wheel bearing that I think was the issue. I was catching the yellow car pretty hard in the corners, but once he opened it up... buh-bye! Yeah, the 350Z is all motor, stock at that, just intake and exhaust and a reflash. Got a Cusco 1.5 way LSD at 85% lock that sounds like complete shit in the grocery store parking lot but is priceless in the tight stuff!::venom::

Back from Road Atlanta and had a great time. I didn't take my car, but it's getting close. I still went down to hang out and instruct. My student use to be one of my soldiers and has since gotten out of the Army and moved back to Texas. He made a 14 hour drive one way to be there this weekend. He also drives a RX-7 and we made some great progress this weekend.

I really enjoyed seeing everyone from TN at the track this weekend. I would say I hope you guys can make some more events in the future, but I already know you are hooked. As a guy I know once said, "a track addiction makes a heroin addiction seem like a mild craving for something salty." See you guys soon.

I never did run into wheelman, but I think I passed you on the drive home on I-75 just outside of Atlanta. Red Mr2 with knox county plate being pulled by an explorer?

Yup, I'm a retard. I wrote down your number and then promptly left it on my desk :). I looked around for your car, but that obviously wouldn't have helped. DE2 #113 was me, and yup, that was definitely me on 75.

Ruff Ryder 6 was in the red 240 that was tailing me. We did manage to bump into Wynn at one point on Sunday (nice talking to you for a bit).

Fun weekend overall. My heater core apparently has some massive bubbles in it so I was running into cooling issues towards the end of almost every session. It had about 3.5 hot laps before it would get vapor locked and start screwing with me. A pressure test and bleed is in the cards before I do anything else very strenuous with it.

I should have some video and maybe a couple of pictures up this week sometime.
