quick noob intercooler question

on a water to air intercooler like this one here (purely example only) the air inlets be mounted facing upward?

Depends on where you mount the heat exchanger. If you can get airflow going through it, then you don't need to mount it with the fins vertical.

heat exchanger will be mounted remotely in the front of the car(plenty of room and air) intercooler would be mounted in the stock location(mr2) if i can mount those inlets and outlets on the topside

theres no room to do that... it would either have to be upward or down

ya mounting it with a fan should be no problem, mos kits i have looked at come with 1 for the radiator, but i dont think ill need it for it so ill just use on the intercooler side of the system

ya i got that lol, but i can go with a 600+ hp w-a setup that has virrtually no pressure drop compared to a top mount and spend half the price

That air to water IC is ok, but I don't know about that waterpump or that radiator. You can pick one of those ICs up on ebay for under $175 now. I would just do that, get a ford lightning air to water water pump, and the biggest auto trans cooler you can find at the junkyard.
