I've been playing since I was 12. Had about a decade off and got back to it. I'm playing a lot now and loving it. Who else likes to hit the links? Anybody want to go play? Hit me up on a pm if you want to get out. I'm always down. Let's make this a good thread for golfers.

I play every now and then, but I suck ballsack. I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn if I wanted to.

I swing a TaylorMade R7 that I still owe $150 to Dirty 30 for. I know more people play golf than this. I would have broke 80 this week if it werent for a fucking 4 putt on 18. I was angry.

I've played since I was 12 and played varsity all 4 years in HS. I maybe play once a month just because it's with the church, now a days. I'll be lucky to shoot 85 as it stands. I guess if I practiced as much as I did in hs i'd still be mid 70's but with school and work, there's no time.

I play 9 holes about 5 times a year, mainly with customers. I've always enjoyed some golf, but I am just so busy that its hard to make the time unless its work-related.

Define play.
I have played before, and would like to play some more, though it would be hard to find the time. I shot like an upper 40 something on the 9 hole course in shelby my first time playing a few years ago. I used to go to the driving range all the time because it was a good stress reliever. Got to where I could hit the ball fairly hard without shanking it.

I'm decent at Tiger Woods.............I hear for the 2011 game...you get to bang a bunch of broads and it almost ruins your career..........

I played once. The last 9 holes were fun. The first 9 I was nursing a massive hangover. I was horrendous. Ended up just throwing the ball on one hole. Right when I did too, someone blew their Dixie horn on Old Fort Pkwy. Gotta love Murfreesboro. Can't see myself really getting into it though. Hate watching it on TV, but I will admit going to a PGA Tour tournament is the shit. Went to the Arnold Palmer Invitational last year and had a blast.

I play but don't get to play as much as I use to. Back in my prime I played atleast 3 rounds a wk and practiced around 6 hours a week.

Hitting up Ted Rhodes tomorrow then Montgomery Bell on Wednesday! I'm on my way to the 80s before you know it.

Two great course! I grew up playing Montogomery bell. Being that u still shoot n the 80s I would bring plenty of balls. That course is very wooded. The course should play nice also. They have a big tourney there this wknd.

I play. I just got back from a yearly golf trip to Destin. I'm not that good, usually in the low-mid 90's but I've shot in the 80s a few times. I don't play often enough to be consistent. The golf trip is as much a beer drinking contest as anything.

^Thats typically what people who suck at it say. Golf is one of the hardest sports to master. I hope I can get out and play a few times this year. Wish I still played hardcore. I have a buddy that would probably be willing to lose some money to anyone interested.

I started playing golf around 8 or so but stopped after high school because I burned myself out. 5 years on varsity team plus working my last 3 years of high school at a golf course were not good.
I played in the regions my senior year and didn't pick up a club after that round for over a year haha

I took some lessons when I was on vacation over in Prince Edward Island.
it's difficult, and it will sure as hell test your patience.
I love it, even though I'm not very good at it.
I picked up a set of King Cobras last September and haven't used them yet (haven't had golfing weather 'till now).

Back in junior high i had some King Snakes...the King Cobra knockoffs hahaha
Now I have Ping Eye 3 blades that were custom fit for me...and some Mizuno blades forgot the model..I haven't had a driver or any fairway woods in forever which thanfully isn't a huge issue except on long courses and par 5s

lol I didn't even know those existed :p
Rota's trying to take over the golf scene too!
anyone here golf without a glove? I find it screws up my grip, believe it or not.
I played 9 holes with and 9 holes without and I just found without made my shots much more accurate.

I play.
Correction I have a set of clubs that I take to the course and shank golf balls with
I try and play.
I have a baseball swing. That doesn't go well with golf. But the driving range is fun!

Mizuno irons ftw. I have mp14s and mp30s. Don't think I'll be switching another brand for awhile.
Driver, 3 wood, and putter are Titliest.
I'm not any good anyone want to take my money. :-)

It's my #1 hobby and replaced my car obsession years ago. I'm not that good, don't play enough to be consistent, but shoot regularly in the high 80s or low-mid 90s honest golf. Best game on earth IMO.
Nickent 3DX Square driver (cheap, but hit it better than anything on the market)
Nickent 3DX 3W w/ Aldila NV shaft
Taylor Made Rescue 3H, 4H hybrids
Wilson Staff Di7 5-PW, GW, SW
Titilest Vokey 60* lob wedge
Odyssey Sabertooth putter
Ogio bag
Callaway Tour IX balls (when I'm not loosing them, otherwise I switch over to my "found on course" ball pocket and play junk balls)
Usually play most of the Nashville courses and get more rounds in at Riverside than anywhere else. Used to live less than a half mile from Pebble Brook and a few miles from Through the Green, love those courses. Now the nearest course is Nashboro Village and it's okay. For Metro courses I like McCabe and Two Rivers a lot. Never played Ted Rhodes though. Hope to change that within the next week or two.

Ted Rhodes is tough. Lots of water. Tight course. You gotta be on point.
Played Montgomery Bell today. Absolutely loved it. Course is beautiful and greens were perfect. I currently don't have a 3/5.
Taylor Made R7 9.5 Loft Driver
King Cobra 2/Hybrid Baffler
5-GW King Cobra FP Irons with Aldila NV Shafts
54 degree Titliest Vokey
Sun Mountain Bag
Play pretty much any ball but have started to go with Callaway Big Bertha. Tour IX are awesome but a little pricey for my blood.
I played Through The Green last week, Josh. I live in PV/AC area. I cut my teeth playing at Riverside when I was little. My uncle worked there so I was always on the range or the putting green.

Big Bertha 454 Driver (have 5 newer ones but love it too much)
Titleist 906F4 4 wood.
Callaway 9 Wood.
Mizuno Mx23 Irons. Soon to be titleist Ap2's.
Custom Mizuno Wedge set. Only carry the 52 and 56.
Scotty Cameron Studio Design 5.
Titleist ProV1x, Nike Platinum or TF D2Feel
Glove used except for putting.
I live on a city course.

WAHPSHH: did you keep it in play at Montogomery bell? Told ya it was a tigt course and would play nice this week. The dogwood tourney is going on this wknd and they usually have it really nice for it.
Ted Rhodes is fun to play and can be tight on some holes, luckly its short so I only hit driver like 4 times during tourneys there.
Windtree out at mt Juliet is also a nice fun course.

I like tight courses. I'm not crazy accurate but do okay. I just have bad strokes here and there where I inflate my score.
I'm not crazy long, pretty short actually. On a good day...
D: 240-250
3W: 225
3H: 190-200
4H: 175-185
5i: 170
6i: 160
7i: 150
8i: 140
9i: 130
PW: 120
GW: 100
SW: 80
60*: 65
Most days I'm 10-20 yards shorter with my longer clubs (hybrids, woods) as I give up the distance for accuracy. Irons and wedges are pretty consistent though.

I hit my irons the exact same distance as you do. I don't carry a 60* nor do I carry hybrids unless you want to count my 9 wood as one.
4i: 180yds.
9w: 180-200(depends where I play it out of my stance, the grass and if I'm playing a draw or cutting the ball) I use this club a lot as it's good for a lot of things mostly the rough.
4w: 225-240 same dependencies as above.
Driver: I average 275 playing a weak fade and 285 playing the draw. Both of those figures can vary both ways by about 15 yards.
Errant shots also seem to plague my game from being back into consistent 70's but I just don't play really much at all. I didn't play once my first year out of HS and still currently only playing once a month. But 85+ or - 3 isn't so bad for not playing much anymore. I'm pretty good with my short game though and I make lots of puts but that's because I used to caddy and reading puts made me money.

i recently started playing. ive been using my brothers pos clubs he got at a yard sale. when my drive is accurate i hit a little over 200 yards. i played the front nine at the vinny links last week and hit par on one hole.... made my day. i still suck major balls though. the only 3 clubs i use are my putter, pitching wedge, and wood... to prove that i suck lol

I use to play all the time, but quit after the marriage and having kids. I just play last month in China and damn I was terrible that my caddie was laughing at me. Johnnyone are you laos(Aye here) if so I play with you once, hit me up sometime I need to get back into since my future job would required me to play decent.
