I like rare cars. I've been nuts over NSX's for forever. I can't help it that other people like rare cars too, which is why each vehicle in the voting is pretty sweet. I'm digging the Soarer'd front SC.

Lol that is kinda what i was thinking. I was rotm on dsmpurity and our vote ended in a tie one time.... they did the same thing there but it was just a 24 hr runoff. This is like a whole new vote which i dont get.

This way kids cant get just their buddies to push there car to a win when most of the site might not like it. At least here all of those who voted for the cars that didnt win before have a chance to express their opinion.

you have to understand that there are 10 cars nominated most of the time though... thats whats going to happen when you have that many people.... the votes will get so dispersed that the winning majority may be as little as 2-3% of the total votes
i get what you are saying but it doesnt sound logical at all to me. if this continues there will be a run off vote almost every month unless there is one car (kinda like that blue fd) that will have an overwhelming majority.

apparently you DON'T understand what he's saying. people rarely win by a majority, that is the point of the run-off vote - it not only makes the voting more interesting, but it cuts back on a lot of the whole "vote for your buddy" system that we had such a problem with the previous year. it doesnt matter if we have a run-off vote every month, its working just fine.

if you have 25% of the votes, but everyone else has less, you win - but that is NOT a majority ... thats how people usually win ... even with the run-off, people arent winning by a majority but it does level the playing field a bit

what im picking up is after the vote is done not everyone who wanted to vote had voted hence someone winning and not everyone liking who won!

so they add a run off vote to get everyone elses vote who didnt vote and those who voted before! this way everyone or most everyone got to vote and more people are happy

the people who place votes on cars that only get 2 or 3 votes can now vote for someone else, which may change the outcome entirely - and if not, then the winner is still the winner and no harm done

the run-off votes only happen if nobody gets >30% of the overall vote, so if someone is going to win by a lot then there isnt a 2nd vote anyway .... it only applies when the votes are close together, which is when it would matter

the 10 cars are basically the nominees and all are voted for the finals but only 3 make it....this gives the 3 a chance to duke it out!
