Kenwood Headunit help

Hey i have a kenwood head unit and it has a input jack on the front, however i can plug my phone or ipod up to it and scroll through sources and it never shows up auxillary! any help?
My buddy's kenwood does the same thing.

you have to turn it on in the set up menu.

push and hold the menu button until the menu pops up. use the rotary knob and the track forward and back buttons to adjust menu items.

the stereo may have to be in standby mode to change the aux function in the menu
