If you rode the 450 you would realize how much power your 125 doesn't have.

Yea you really don't know the power you are lacking till you get on a 450 I was so surprised when I first rode it I was always a big 2 stroke guy till I got this 450.

Why does he need a Leatt brace? because they are the new "trick" thing? I have made it just fine riding for the last 15 years without one. I recommend seat time over any new gadgets or even upgrades on the bike. When you can ride it to near 100% of it's stock capabilities then you can start modifying it.

Really? So you are saying that He should just ride instead of being safe? Apparently you have never been in a crash that involved neck injurys..
I never told him to modify the bike.

I have never, you are correct. I'm saying they aren't a necessary piece of protective gear.

Looking at the amount of crashes that happen and injure the neck, I would say they are pretty necessary if you are going to be doing a lot of jumping.. But for everyday trail riding, I'd say no.
But that's just me.

i agree with you. The series around here had a guy die the beggining of this seasson. He got wrecked and landed wrong which tore the adores in his kneck which left him brain dead.

2k too much for me. Sorry I would LOVE to, But I can't do more than 3,000 maybe 3,500.
I need almost a grand for gear. So I'm looking at a lil older bike. Sucks but oh well.
Although, Get me some photoshoots and I'll be that much closer to having the money.

For gear you need nothing but gloves and a helment. I ride dirtbikes in full gear boots and all but i dont see the point in riding a street bike in full gear. yeah it would be nice to have if you wrecked but chances are whan you wreck you will be more worried about other things than little road rash. Plus boots arent comfortable to walk in so riding to the store or somethign would suck.

its cool. i agree with you about the gear. but a 900+ leather suite is way to much for me, hell i can almost buy me a new race bike for that

Having a new race bike and being dead or permanently disfigured is worth less than being safe with proper riding gear.
