Ok, on my 01 civic the tint is peeling and starting to fade and look bad, I am wanting to get it tinted again and I'm asking for opinion's on people to go to. Should I get it done on the side from someone? Or go to a shop where I know it will be legit and have a warranty, etc. Money is a problem being that I am 16 and I play 2 varsity highschool sports. So I'm not in the position to drop serious amounts of dollars on this.

Second- regarding the dirty headlights : The pictures really don't show how bad they look. They are a greyish color and honestly look terribile. As I was walking around IA last Sunday I focused on looking at some of the cars headlights there and they were much clearer than mine. I believe there is a guy on here that does this but he isn't active so if any of you know him please pm me his number.

Tint the windows yourself. I think they sell pre-cut tint on e-bay for stupid cheap. It's probably not top quality, but it's better than what you've got.

you have pm.

all said methods above are completely incorrect ways to go about buffing headlights. you guys are merely masking the problem...

x2 Mitch (nskforlife) for the headlights and Randy for the tint... Only tint guy I've had good luck with in the past 9 years and he guarantees his work with a lifetime warranty...

Yes, typically he tints all cars at my house... PM me if you'd like to have your car done...

you left room for improvement. the surface is still irregular... if your headlight was a paintjob, there would still be plenty of swirls and scratches that were left, make sense?

i don't know much on the headlights although i did mine on my maxima with regular car wax and it made a huge difference!! as for window tint you need to see Randy Taylor at SunBlockers is Shelbyville he has done all my cars and alot of my family's his cost is more than fair for the great work he did for me!! i think it's 125-150 to tint it but idk what he chargers to peel the old off. good luck man.

just from results ive experienced try waxing your headlights every time you wax the whole car. it pretty much prevents this effect compleatly

i recommend synthetic sealants instead of natural sealants, they tend to last longer...

but as long as you wax your car once a month, you should be fine.
