I dont know much about JL stuff, but the amp is 500w and the sub is 600w rms 1200 peak. I dont think it will be pushing it too hard

the amp is rated at 500w rms at 2 ohms which you will be able to do since the sub is a dual 4 ohm voice coil. The sub is rated at 600w rms. Pretty good match. Plenty of power for the sub!

Do you have any box recommendations?or would you think going to a local car audio shop to get the box made to spec for it is better?
and i think i seen some of your threads.i like your work.
well this might be on pause for a while.Does anyone recommend any other amp/sub setup for similar price?

Getting a box made to spec is going to be better for any sub you get. Getting a quality one made for cheap is the problem. Expect to pay 150-300 for a custom box.
There are plenty of prefabbed boxes that will get the job done though and still sound great. I would try and find one as close to the recommended air space the sub calls for.
And thanks

i bought 2 jl 12's W1's, an alpine 600 watt amp, Jl 2 gauge wire kit, a sealed box that had the specifed air space by jl, and even let audiomasters install it for me and it was around 300 or 325! and it sounded amazing! tight sound and suprisingly loud. all from ebay and onlinecarstereo.com just make sure on ebay to read everything and ask questions. good luck man.
