Oh, and he has the 5 speed sitting in his apartment. It almost made it in the car but then his 5speed incapable girlfriend started needing a car to drive so its been sitting there. He has the j30 diff installed so I would be worried about her in the rain if I was him. Its a really nice clean ass car and he is wanting to get back into drifting (legally this time) and I talked him into a s13 instead of thrashing and trashing a car that nice. Plus obdII is gahy Imho.

I want him to find a decent s13 with a good engine, throw on some megan coil overs and a stage 2 clutch and an exhaust and custom cai, weld the diff and let me tune it and I think he will be inpressed with a cheap track car.

I say sell the bike cuz your just going to end up getting hurt, not that you dont know how to ride but that no one in manchester knows how to drive. With that money you get put a little in a s13 and make a track slut out of it, keep it ugly or maybe do a cheap paint job like me and fuck the body work. Nasty ass loud cars ftw!

its because of the second 02 sensor you can either run in open loop full time with some type of management, afc neo, e- manage or you just get one of those CEL fix things off the bay or from an exhaust shop they work i had one on mine for 3 years plus an afc2. As far as the seats go i might be able to get you some just let make some calls and ill let ya know

Yup, jailbait loves my car lol. Nathanial always gives me a hard time about that.

Oh, and only way I would buy a bike would be if it was full race and I wouldn't even drive it on the street except to the track if it were legal to drive to the track. Im not too cool with the way everyone drives. I would consider driving one if I still lived in Illinois but down here they dont require drivers ed and you can sure tell. Until recently they didnt require insurance and people still dont give a shit about that law. It was unheard of in Illinois for someone to not have insurance, the penalty was just too high!

an open diff cannot get you into trouble in the rain. a vsld can though. She dont know how to drive imho and I cant believe I used to let her drive my pathfinder when me and nathan would get dunk on fridays after work. She would act so scared and shit of driving it lol.

I've driven plenty of clutch LSD and VLSD cars. You have to do something stupid to get into trouble with them. If you drive that poorly, you'll get into trouble with a RWD car in the rain regardless.

I still don't agree with this. What makes you think this? I've heard other people try to make the same claim without anything to back it up. Usually, it's just people making excuses for crashing their car in poor weather, because they were driving beyond their available traction. The LSD is not to blame. I drove my old Supra on unplowed roads with snow above its chin spoiler on summer tires. I never had its LSD do anything odd whatsoever. The main thing I noticed is that it wouldn't move at all in snow before I installed its LSD ;) .

The only reason I could see an inexperienced person having any real problem with an LSD is if they had some abrupt-actuating 2-way unit, but the VLSD is definitely not in that category.

I guess it just boils down to 2 different opinions. Im fine with that. Im no more worried driving my car with a lsd in the rain compared to my car without one because I know how to drive, but if you gas on it too hard with a lsd in the rain the car is more likely to walk the rear where as that wont happen on an open diff. Especially with rain and up hill or up hill with turns. People with 0 racing experience ie. who were talking about here will not know or understand what to do in the event of oversteer.
