he is workin on the body right now
he has got jdm front and rear bumpers power folding mirrors and some other stuff

soooo whats the point your tryin to make?
its usdm & jdm at the same time?

buttttt if you wanna be technical about it and shit
then lets observe so things shall we:
small turn signal buckets
raise lis plate box the same size as a japanese plate(that dont seem usdm to me)
and its in the proper position for a japanese plate
sooooooo sounds pretty jdm to me
but if you wanna get super technical
throw as much jdm shit on your car as you want
its still not truley jdm
no cars on tennspeed(except 2 i know of if i forgot urs im sorry) are truley jdm
not yours, not his
so chill out and go try to impress some
noob with ur "jdm knowledge"
he likes the jdm bumpers
so thats what he got

As sprayN306 said the bumpers appear to be factory USDM spec but are in fact JDM. Sorry for the confusion i was trying to go for a clean factory look with this conversion. My car will have a 93 JDM Zenki front bumper (with the center bracing cut out for a future FMIC) it will also have a Greddy Lip as well as a JDM Zenki Aero package Grill to finish off the front while it will have a JDM Kouki rear bumper and Kouki ide skirts to keep the factory theme.

And yes I know the Greddy front lip is not factory but given the price of a factory lip and that of a Greddy, the aftermarket Greddy seemed a better choice, I believe it will also compliment the side skirts and rear bumper.

It's getting closer. Need to wait for the lip to arrive and paint it and the grille. A little more buffing and the current parts are ready to go. I wish we had gone ahead and done the rear quarters and doors at the same time - they need bodywork and paint, but thought it would be easier to do this in stages. Now that everything else is done the remainder looks like it needs done bad.

so far on Laos old car ive done, wheels, New 180sx tails(Stock not kouki) Short Shifter, all the usual maintance, Might be getting S15 Front Brakes this Week(maybe) going to replace the struts, rears are blow, with some koni yellows. I dont want coilovers for daily driving. Im going be getting paint done here in next couple months.

The front JDM bumper was actually cheaper than a USDM aftermarket replacement. Ryan already had the JDM turn signals (which are orange and too small to fit the USDM bumper), so we went this way - this bumper was in nearly perfect condition to boot. It's a bit difficult to find JDM Navan in good condition for reasonable prices. We cut out the cross braces in the bottom opening - I think once the Greedy lip is on and the FMIC is in place it will all come together.....

The black Zenki would be mine and the reason i didn't keep the oem lip is that it was trashed and fallling apart, I also think i saw your car one night also yours is very clean keep up the good work, i hope to be back on the road soon I'll probably hit up Nashville on the weekend and IA next month.

Megan Street coilovers with adjustable upper control arms and toe bars in rear. Poly bushings everywhere and custom power brace. Like a go cart in the handling department, but you may want to use the restroom before leaving on long trips :lol:

you'll wise up one day. i hated sr's forever, i still hate sr's and ive had one so i can actually say i hate sr's. the true of the matter is, is you can beat on them and they will drive you to work the next day. plus you don't have to spend a million dollars to make it reliable. i have an rb20, now i love the thing to death but my girlfriends t28 powered blacktop pushes the same amount of power(tho i have more low end and over tq) and the thing runs everyday. were i have to replace parts every two weeks. then you get into fixing the sr, its stupid easy were as on my rb, to do the waterpump i had to tear the entire front of the motor of including the timing belt. ka-t are the same way there are a few in st.louis and they all run like garbage.

man i know what ur saying.. i would rock a sr if u didnt have to spend so much on one.. u can build a nice KA-t for the money u dump on a sr. 2300 goes along way in a KA. Dear CJ,

Yes I am still planning on RPM. and yes i do have the complete gasket kit which does include a head gasket :) unfortunately this OEM head gasket would make a poor choice for a fully built motor. Such as the case I still need a head gasket albeit an after market Multi Layer Steel one aka MLS, right now i have my eyes set on an Apex'I 0.8mm thickness with a 87mm bore (rememeber I'm going with slightly oversized pistons).

Yes I am still planning on RPM. and yes i do have the complete gasket kit which does include a head gasket :) unfortunately this OEM head gasket would make a poor choice for a fully built motor. Such as the case I still need a head gasket albeit an after market Multi Layer Steel one aka MLS, right now i have my eyes set on an Apex'I 0.8mm thickness with a 87mm bore (rememeber I'm going with slightly oversized pistons).

I'm hoping for a healthy 300 hp with this set up. I've seen a few similar to mine that are in the mid to high 3's at the wheels and that's what I'm hoping for, i want to keep the daily drivablity, thats also why I want this motor overbuilt. Although these numbers aren't amazing, I believe retune the right injectors, cams, and turbo the rest of the motor would be ready for horsepower somewhere in the neighborhood of 500. So my thinking is if i have a block capable of 500 but only utilize 300 i should be pretty safe.

Stopping is not a problem on his car, already has the full Z32 brake setup include working e-brake with drilled and slotted rotors on all corners. GLWS though, I think Frogman has another full Z32 setup including 5 lug hubs for someone in the need....

I've actually been happily surprised with the Isis product quality. I've got turbo lines, intake mani, and pulleys and they all seem to be well made.
I won't know 100% until I'm able to fully test them but they seem to be a pretty good deal compared to Greddy or other brands

No paint and body yet. That will come this summer, she gets her license this week. I am waiting to see how she does with driving - rookies usually have their first wreck within 2-3 months.

We will finish Ryan's SR20 swap and body work first then on to Carly's car.

I think all outstanding mechanical issues are solved now, paint will wait.
