It just came out this morning for free download on the dashboard, if you want to play it tonight and this weekend add me: Revo1ution

This game is supposed to be a classic, should be very exciting and I'm looking forward to playing it after school.

Thoughts?

Lol Nah its pretty fun. Pretty buggy but its a beta. The level you play feels like a mix of cod and battlefield to me.

It's not too bad, but it's playable. There have been many fixes already an hopefully many more to come.

I think the idea was great, just execution was a little off.

Been playing the beta since Tuesday... I really like it, but yes it does still have a few bugs to get fixed... That's what the beta is for though...

You can already tell who the COD fags are who just lay prone and snipe LOL! It's quite hilarious, but annoying at the same time...

I already pre-ordered this for PS3 but I think I'd rather build a PC rig just for this game. 64 player online mayhem beats a measly 24.

Same here....I feel like I've been spoiled by COD lol....I can appreciate some of the good things about it, but it just didn't sit right with me...

I drive a 40 ton vehicle and have fun everyday lol. Too bad I don't have a system anymore, yet alone a TV lol.

all my friends have been telling me bout it. havent gotten a chance to play it yet since ive been in atlanta the past few days. i heard there was a lot of bugs to be fixed though. hopefully its been fixed by the end of the month

It's a beta, bugs are expected. And the open beta only has Operation Metro, which is fun but only ha infantry combat which isn't exactly BF's strength. The closed beta folks got a huge map that came after OP Metro with jets and tanks and all that shit. I'm waiting for that, but for now I'm loving this.

So you mean it still isn't made up of no skill campers looking for an easy killstreak bonus? Or do you mean it actually has dedicated servers to play on and doesn't cheap out and run peer to peer like COD? Or possibly you mean that it has vehicles which COD does not? Or maybe you meant it has destructible environments which COD does not? Maybe you meant it has actual objectives that reward a player for actually moving instead of sitting still? Quite possibly you meant that it has amazing sound which COD does not? Maybe you meant it has a modern and updated game engine and isn't running on the same engine that games at the beginning of this generation ran on like COD? and the list goes on...

I agree with all of the above. But where it still falls short is....EA. lol. Great game...horrible servers

Both are great games. I think BF2 (and presume the new one is also) a better game, but chose to play COD.
The main issue to me is how noob friendly COD is. My wife can pick up the controller and after a few rounds can go positive K/D. BattleField is not nearly as easy.

But then if your not playing BF on a PC, whats the point. And we all know PC games is for the snobby elite gamers right. :mrgreen:

The COD series is more inline to what i essentially grew up playing.... Counter strike. Day of defeat.
These are closed quarters small squad based games.

When i first play bf 1942 on pc i loved it for all the different things you could go and do. Bf2 was no different except better vehicles.

But when i first picked up cod at a friends house i knew i had to have it. It seemed like the only game that had a good ADS system and the guns were accurate
