Test and Tunes:

Test and Tunes will be held at 8pm EST on Wednesday's for the Track that is scheduled for the following sunday.

Rules:

1.)Participants must use the tunes supplied in ZacCarter's StoreFront. They will be labeled with the race date and car type.
2.) 10 Lap Heat to warm up.
3.) 21 lap Race with Flying start
4.) Starting Grid will be set to random for the first few races.
5.) It will be full collision and Damage. Communication is key. You will be booted for taking everyone out in the first corner.

We will be adjusting the rules as time goes on. We will continue on with A and S class cars as I see fit, slower cars are more fun in a large grid anyways.

"For a first race the and a little chaos the end result wasn't bad at all. We decided on a flying start literally with the countdown timer ticking. As discovered in our 10 lap heat Flier129 and TPM Hentai would be the two fastest drivers to take up the rear of the pack, and a flying start began the race. there was a little contact in the first few corners but overall a great start and with practice I suspect they will get better. There were a couple major offs in the first couple of laps mostly do to going in hot and cold tires. Good communication by the drivers to ensure everyone was aware of the others.

Flier129 and TPM Hentai were side by side on the front straight on the fifth lap battling for 1st after working though traffic. Flier129 would take lead after TPM over shooting the first corner; In no time though TPM was back on Flier's tail chasing for 1st place. BangBangJDM, TehJeFFMan, and S3 SYKLON were all battling for 3rd position. BangBangJDM would have an off in the highspeed chicane that would push him back to 5th position leaving JeFF and Syklon to battle it out. ZacCarter would pull towards JeFF to begin the battle for 5th postion but would again fall behind after numerous mistakes in laps 20 and 21. These mistakes would also cause Zac to fall back to position 7. Enjuneer would cruise the entire race to take eighth position and finish the race there. BangBangJDM would have an LOLcopter spin and fall back to 5th place right at his finish of the race, allowing JeFF to finish 4th place."

We look forward to our next race at hockenhiem short; TEST and TUNE will be Wednesday November 16th @ 8:00pm EST. Green Flag will drop for our 10 lap warm up heat on November 20th @ 8:00pm EST. It will be a B-CLASS Toyota MR-S Official tune settings will be posted up thursday night. Thanks everyone.

"With 2 more competitors this race had a grid of 10 with some new faces partaking in this race. Some racers from our civic race would also prove they had what it takes to stay up front and finish strong. The race began with a rolling start again at Hockenhiem Short, a 50mph roll would be the starting speed on lap2. ZacCarter would lead off the race and call the start. Zac and BangBangJDM would have a close first lap but after that Zac would fall behind due to cold tires and going in hot the 2nd to last corner. TPM Hentai would work his way up to P2 and battle it out with JDM; While Flier129 would take P3 and work his way up. ZacCarter would recover and work back to P4 after falling back to P7 in just a few laps and finish the race out at P4. TPM, Flier, & BangBangJDM would come up on lap traffic at lap 15 allowing them to spread out a bit and get some room. Fliers gearbox sounded pretty rough by this point in the race, but he would push on. TPM Hentai would pull away to secure P1; meanwhile, Flier and JDM would hash things out until Flier edged by him after the 2nd straight. ZacCarter would continue to pull away from the crowd behind him, taking a comfortable 4th.

The sound of turbo's being used as force induction were also heard. Meaning these participants weren't on the stock tune but this wouldn't have much of an effect on standings as those cars would also take a weight penalty. We encourage everyone to make sure they keep up with the boards and make certain they are running the correct spec tune."

OK quick update, flier129 was in chattanooga today for an auto-x and he's just now heading back. It's going to be pushed back slightly to give him time to get home. He was going to post up the tune specs so everyone could tweak it to their liking's but we are short on time; so to make sure everyone is aware the tune is on flier129's storefront. It's running low 1:04's at road atlanta club. I'll be adding all the mentioned screen names and we'll be starting our first 10 lap heat around 8:30pm EST with the 25 lap race after that. If anyone want to hotlap with me now I am online.

With the next race at hockenheim we will be posting up the parts and you will be responsible for your own settings. I encourage everyone to paint their cars as well.

Well I think the first race was sort of a success. Sorry for any of the issues, here's what I think is going to happen in the next events. But I had fun!

Spec upgraded parts, but you tune out the rest. I'll happily put my tune up on my storefront for free if someone doesn't feel like tuning. I don't always have to be the one to choose the parts either.

Maybe a tad less laps, once we got 15 laps in the pack spread out and got boring sorta. BUT! for me the traffic came in handy, as I started to put down 1:03.9s and 1:04.0s TPM was hitting traffic and I closed the 600ft gap we had to 200ft on the last 2-3 laps.

Make sure everyone has the car ready to go, I expected a delay on the first one, but 45min delay was rough.

I did the tune, tuned it with a controller. I tried to tune out as much understeer as I could. I never had oversteer issues but I do trail-brake hard with the car, while I'm just slightly pressing the throttle(I never really ever come off the throttle 100% unless I'm about to wreck)


I'm also up for some old iron or a "historic" race after this weekend too


Next track is Hockenheimring Short! It's narrow and pretty short though. I'll post up my parts-list tonight, but I'm open to someone else choosing the parts. I believe I managed low 1:11s or high 1:10s in the B-class MR-S(the car we are going to use)

I am down to a 1:13:002 on hockenhiem short. I am having problems keeping heat in my rear tires as well as a slight over steer problem, along with being consistent I can't seem to nail the 4-5 turn, then I blow out the hairpin at six trying to play catch up.

It was a fun race for sure! I really liked doing your own tune too. During practice me and TPM paced each other, I noticed I had A LOT less aero and could pass him on the long straights! When I got to third I closed the gap of 1100ft that JDM & TPM had on me to 500-600 ft. Once TPM got in front of JDM he took off and laid down some 1:10.4s. JDM went off track and I caught him quick, almost hitting him, then it took us awhile to get back up to speed. By that point TPM was gone.

I didn't notice this until I watched the replay but I had NO front aero and my transmission was sitting at 18% damage. When I was tuning I managed to put down 1:10.2xx but during the race I only got a 1:10.4xx, dirty :(.

The guys not running the the spec parts were my fault really. I invited both of them, one of them literally last minute before we started. I forgot to mention to Blank that it was spec parts, he was up on HP by about 7-10 but also up on weight.

We came up with the idea that last place gets to pick the next car/track, crash passed on it so Blank Czech(aka Wheelman13) picked spec e30 and I forget the track, I'll have to ask him. He said C-class but I think the majority of the people are wanting something faster so we might do A-class e30s on whatever track he picked.

Second: That was a pretty good time. I enjoyed the longer race and rolling start. a little more strategy, a little less havoc.

Third: Given the robble, I can come up with something faster for next race. I'd through of something diabolical, but being the FNG, I didn't want to break everyone's balls immediately, so went with some momentum cars (C-Class E30 on Infineon Nascar). I'll fiddle tonight and re-submit something a little quicker for "the mob"s approval.

Yea It should be 423hp. Yes the car is a handful lol. I have mine tuned out to 1:22.7 and I am going to probably leave it like that, most of the oversteer is gone beside the off camber corners where one just has to use caution. I am going to go forward and schedule the next races through the end of the year, today.

Quick update just pulled off a 1:22.171 softening up the suspension and doing some tweaks on my alignment. I have reuploaded the tune to my store front to those who have downloaded it. I got rid of alot of the power on over steer etc., do keep in mind though that this car has alot of torque and if you upset it on turns 2 or 4 it will spin out. Go in slow and out fast. These cars came out of the box very cantankerous and tail-happy, however after some tuning there is a sweet spot that makes them really fun to drive....humble opinion and all that.

I didn't have much fun just driving the car. (Running a 1:29.xxx in testing, required a lot of neutral-throttle/coasting on that track.), but as a result of the car's tendencies, it made the race really close, so it got a few points back there.

Yea that's in the cards for sure Brandon, but I want to get a consistent run group together before and make sure we have 12-16 people that have 2-3 races under there belts. Those cars can be a handful at times. We will probably do that at the end of the year/ first of the year.

It understeered like a bastard most of the time I was tuning it. I finally got it to the point where it would tighten it's line without having to brake or lift completely, but it took deliberate effort to break traction under power.

I did take some light damage in the first half of the race that introduced a little oversteer under full throttle on the exit of T2, 3, and 4 if I didn't hit it perfectly. TPM didn't take long to reel me in once I wasn't carrying speed through those places anymore. I was still turning 1:31s, but that was probably over a second off of his & flier's pace at the end.

I was ready to cruise off into the sunset before the "red flag" and restart. I'd just passed for the lead and everyone else had just wrecked horribly :lol:

I found that tuning my differential made a substantial difference in my tune, along with gearing. I didn't do much with my suspension other than spring rates and some dampening to keep it from bottoming out at the corkscrew. I actually took some aero off the car as well.

We opted for the full course instead of club, much more room to pass and adds a few more elements to it. And I fucking hate the the last turn on club.

Also went with the lighter version vs slightly more power & weight. Acceleration is actually about the same though, the lighter version seemed to put down faster times. It was also more stable, over-steer didn't seem to be the issue, but massive under-steer did. Times should be closer with the more well behaved car, like what happened with the Viper last race :D

I managed to get a 2:02.0xx messing around with Zac for 3 laps, I'm sure there's more time out there. Should be a fun race, I'll be happy if it was half as fun at the last one. Hopefully we'll get more people this time too!!

:( The ACR Viper is the most stable car you're going to get with RWD and 500+ hp. 355 rear tires with MASSIVE downforce. Maybe it was you're tune? I'll happily share my tune with you on the Ferrari if you feel like it's unstable for you.

How do I download tunes from specific people? I see where it has them all, but i was wondering if it was possible to grab one from your friends list?

The tunes have to be on our storefronts if trying to get it off a friend. I also try top rated tunes from randoms. Keep in mind though those tunes are locked, the only way to get an unlocked tune is to have it gifted to you. I do alot of reading on the forza forum to learn about the process. On RWD i always turn down the decel on the diff to 40 percent to keep it from rotating under decel, I usually bump it up to 60 percent after i tune the suspension. Tire pressure is usually at 28-29. You have to think about game physics not real world stuff. I can explain more on xbox live. Did you get a headset yet?

The car specs will be posted this monday night. It will be handicapped by a Minimum weight and maximum horsepower. Most likely 2400LBS. and 300hp; Stock Transmission will be used. Also encourage participants to take part in the hosted rooms which will be Wednesday Night the 21st and Friday Night the 23rd. However I will be going off of leader board times and to this point the cars in this class don't have times posted to this track for the guys on my friends list.

Car specs will be posted on Monday the 26th. I have to spec out the cars but I am thinking of a 500hp max hp with a 2600lb. minimum curb weight; Modern US RWD Cars, GT500, Cobra R, C4-C6 vette, Viper GTS, etc. More details will be posted on this after I speak with some other drivers.

For D to be fun, you'd need a real momentum track where you can keep it rolling. MV short isn't that, MV long maybe (but that's a long lap for D-Class). Otherwise, C would be the way to go to get a little more punch.

Did some testing last night on the miata, we are gonna go with the C-Class. I will post up the parts list by this evening.

Also did some testing on some cars for future races. We are going to do a "grand am" style race with the following 3 vehicles after the JGTC race on the 8th.

Honda Fit
Mazda 3
Ford Focus

All three cars are pretty evenly matched and are a blast to drive, the weight on the mazda and ford is around 2100 pounds and the fit has a weight of 2300 but will get a slight power bump. Haven't decided on a track yet but I am thinking of doing the american tracks in rotation depending on how the car does in a group.

Mazda 2 & Feista weighed in at 1800lbs actually, the Fit was 2100lbs, but has more power.

We played around on Nurg. GP short and I hot lapped 1:40.1xx with all three cars, untuned, lol. Should be a blast to race with!

Nah honestly as long as both cars are the same weight and HP I'm fine with it as well as stock gear box. My evo was around 2500 lbs when I was built and at 300hp. I'll look to make sure, the car can be heavier just not lighter.

I became suddenly disappointed that I couldn't do an asymmetrical alignment for this one. Positive camber on the left side might have been on with this track, or at least different air pressures.

Should be great time! I'm thinking average lap-times in the low 1:41s/1:42s. Having different cars will throw in a different dynamic. The Fiesta and 2 are lighter, but the Honda has more power and has less drag. The 2 also has more torque! I hope we have a good turnout!
