I've been looking for another cafe bike since i had to get rid of the guzzi a few months back(Someone offered the right price), now with tax time coming around, I got the bug again....

It would be nice to have some extra wheels this summer so my decrepit honda and eternal project VW aren't rushed when i have to service them....

The cb750 is a very solid basis for a cafe bike, most of the other guys i rode with in the cafe club had a cb variant, i was one of the only guys that had an italian make bike(other guy had an old ducati). I rode them on a few occasions, and like the way they handle well enough....so thoughts?

Or do you think it is to much trouble and i should wait for another one?

(also, Imma laugh if its one of you guys here)

Haha. I feel ya. I fortunatlely bought mine in the off season last year... 1972 CB350 Four. Also have other projects waiting after the 350 is done. I have a gs850g, cb500t, virago xv535, two z50rs, ke100. Lots of work ahead of me.

Is there a lot of people into older bikes now?

I've just always been into them myself, I am a huge fan of brit bikes(nortons, BSAs, vincents), i just like em. Older sport bikes are also favorites.

I lean towards cafe bikes because you can add a HUGE amount of personal touch, it also helps that my grandfather was big into cafe bikes when i was younger...Now my aunt has his old norton and hasn't touched it since he died 20 years ago, but will "sell" it to me for 10 grand.....my aunt is a bitch.

Yeah, I like those bikes, but the brit style of cafe and brat bikes dont suit how I would like my bike to look. feel me?

So he died and it was given to her, but now she wont give it to you? Bitch for sure... lol

No, it was willed to ME because i was the only grand kid that gave him the time of day,
she found some damn loophole so she could keep it for herself, she doesn't even RIDE, nor does her husband.

There is alot of back and forth spite between my moms family, my mom and dad moved here to TN when i was 2, ever since then they feel we have no right to anything because "we tried to escape(we did, my dad hates my moms family, annoying jerks all trying to outdo each other, my uncle wasn't as bad, but died not long ago, grandmas house was in his name, as was everything in the shed, they never even told us about the will hearing).

Wow, sorry.....ranted for a bit there, they really give my mom a hard time because she chose to move out of the area so she could live her life. That aside, the hardest thing to get used to is the shifter is on the wrong side on a brit bike ;)
