So my little sister's eclipse (1998 RS) just all of a sudden will not start. Headlights and radio will come on. It won't even try to start. It's just silent. We've tried charging the battery, jumping it off. We made sure there is a good connection and everything. No good. So we're stummped. We ended up having the push it and pop the clutch to get it home. My dad got the starter tested and it's good. Also tried putting a new battery in and no luck. A guy at autozone mentioned it could be some safety switch underneith the clutch? IDK. The only other thing i could think of would be it's not getting fuel but you can hear the fuel pump priming.

So any help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.

Thanks!

Whats up guys, I just got these and I love them, but I am working my way out of debt and this will speed that process up.

I just got these last week. The seller forgot to send me 2 light connectors, but those should be on the way shortly. I asked for the pigtails and he said he would send those as well too, so this should be everything you need to make them work on your ap1 s2000.

this is for all you Top Gear lovers out there...

over the past couple months, me and my brothers have been planning an epic "Top Gear" challenge.

the overall challenge is to purchase, e-test, safety, and tax a car for less than $1000.

drive said car from Halifax, Nova Scotia....to Vancouver, British Columbia.

for those of you that failed Canadian Geography...

we have a crew all planned out to film this entire trip, and we have pitched this idea to Rogers Sportsnet, TSN, CBC, BBC Canada, OMNI, TVO, and CityTV. all of which seem to be extremely interested. The gentleman we pitched it to at TSN came up with the name "The Challenge", so that's what we've been naming the project so far.

think of this as Top Gear, but non-scripted, and it's just one big ass challenge.

we'll have a Twitter/Facebook account set up so we can keep everyone updated as we go along.

this won't occur until January 2012, there's still a hell of a lot we need to figure out until we can get this ball rolling.

I would love some input from you guys as to what you would like to see us do. any mini-challenges? timed laps? races?

also, if you were in this case, what kind of vehicle would you pick? keep in mind that time of year, a lot parts of Canada is damn near un-drivable.

inb4 Canada Hate.

so i'm looking into a new oxygen sensor for the new daily, (yeah, that pos with the wrecked front end, dont worry i have my priorities straight...)...

so i'm looking into a new oxygen sensor for the new daily, (yeah, that pos with the wrecked front end, dont worry i have my priorities straight...) and i'm trying to find out what kind of voltage scaling needs to be used on the car.

the oem sensor is a 0-1volt narrowband sensor, but is it scaled like a normal narrowband sensor (huge sign wave right in the middle of the graph) or is it more linear? i've searched for it online and came up with nothing. it doesn't help that the sensor is used on only the vx's from what i can comprehend...

any help is appreciated.

edit: i think i have found my answer, but i'd still like some spotlight shined on the subject for verification. it is a narrowband sensor, granted it works differently to find the lambda value, the scale is still a narrowband scale, therefore the output voltage would be comparable to any typical narrowband sensor... correct?

So I replaced my brake caliper today (driver side) because of the following issues. Insane heat, vibration and felt like a slight loss in power. So today I purchased a remanufactured brake caliper from a local AutoZone. Popped off the old caliper it appeared that the right piston was seized up as the pad was worn down on that side. Rotors and pads are 3 weeks old. Drilled and slotted rotors with posi quiet pads. Rotor does have heat spots on it. Ok so back to the story I replaced the caliper tonight, not touching the pads or rotor . Drive home and the vibration is gone, I feel like its not sticking anymore it feels a little more peppy but its still putting out excessive heat. I went to the other front wheel (passenger side) and could put my hand on it without a problem at all. But the Driver side from about 2feet away I could feel excessive heat being produced, I then proceeded like a dumb ass to touch the caliper and it did indeed burn my finger. So my question is, do you guys think I acquired another faulty caliper or could there be something else wrong? thanks

Car is a 93 lexus sc400 btw.

Ok so I traded my s14 for this Integra for the sole purpose to flip it and sell it. I have had the car a few days and it runs great and vtec seems to kick in good and pulls strong. Lowered on egay coil sleeves with stock struts, doesn't ride bad, decent ride from them. The body has 207k just rolled over on the way back from picking it up. Bottom end was said to be rebuilt at 170k but I have no proof. It does not smoke any so I suspect it has been done. Engine is stock besides an AEM v2 intake. Has all black interior with leather seats. The leather is in pretty good shape, not perfect but not crappy. On the way home I avg. 32 mpg crusing about 85 mph. I don't believe I'm missing anything besides that this car is clean inside and out. Txt me for quicker response but I do stay on tennspeed for most of the day. Only trades I'm open to is boosted 240 or miata's that are decently reliable.

Decided it's time to sell my RSX.
2005 RSX type S
Vivid blue pearl
Stock engine
Tanabe catback
buddy club full race coilovers w/ spanner wrenches
brand new tires
brand new windshield
tinted windows
ingalls torque dampener
spoon rear strut bar
spoon oil cap
spoon rad cap

i manage the detail shop where i work (large nissan dealership) and when i had the tires put on i had a 4 wheel alignment
done along with the obvious rotate and balance on the wheels
the car is also waxed and clay barred each month with auto glim and mother's products
the overall condition is very nice, i would rate the interior at a 9, and the exterior at an 8, with the exterior having
normal wear and tear of a 6 year old vehicle with original paint. the vehicle also has a clear title.
the oil stays changed every 2500 miles and the tranny has half honda tranny fluid and half synro mesh
the car shifts SEAMLESSLY and runs very strong
no smoke and does not burn oil
i love this car to death, much more than my 350z and my civic si, but this isn't a want to sell, its a have to sell
i am located right outside of knoxville, tn and am going to start the asking price at 13,750 obo.
i am trying to get as close to pay off as possible.

Here's a programmer from my truck that I just sold - it's a BullyDog Triple Dog, and works on any of the Big Three diesels. To clarify, that's Ford 7.3/6.0, Dodge 5.9 (and 6.7, I believe), and Chevy Duramax.

I paid $599.00 for it. It's been used once (to load a program, and to take that program back off).

I'd like $400.00 OBO... save some serious money and get a reliable programmer for a great price. This unit is ANIB (As-New-In-Box).

Also for sale - 2 Nitto 555R II tires (these are not drag radials). These are sized 275-40-17, and have between 50-60% remaining tread. They are in good shape, and you can still see the tread on them (they're not bald). I'd like $20/ea, which is a hell of a deal for someone wanting cheap track tires, or drift tires, whatever... New, they're $240/ea.

Lets see... what else?

[EDIT] - I'll add more later - I can't think of the rest until I get into the garage.
