ive talked to a few of you guys about my newest project and debated on making a build thread or not, but decided to make one anyways. reason for choosing straight line is ive never been into the whole drift or die thing and we dont have any local events in my area.. to start out, the car ill be using is a '90 240 fastback. bought it along with a '93 fastback for 500$ off of a friend. both came with titles, are complete cars with exception of the '90 missing a few front end pieces, and are in overall good shape. motor of choice will be ca18det. ive built a few in my past and have never been a fan of sr's, so why not. i bought all of my buddy scott from "the shop"'s ca18det parts (complete motors, custom intake/exhaust manifolds, blah blah) for a disclosed amount of money. the motor ill be using for the drag car is a fully built (bro) long block with complete tomei top end and forged botttom end. ill take pics when i bring the motor over and get ready for the drop in. the motor previously made 669hp on dyno with a t67 charger. im going to be a little more conservative and shoot for mid 500's and ill be using one of the oilless comp 6262 turbos. not much progress has been made yet except for getting the sohc out and prepping the engine bay to have the new motor installed. after motor gets dropped in ill be ordering a new harness from wiring specialties and looking for a 1pc driveshaft and a newer lsd. anyways, heres a few pics of what im working with...

So I will be running a pedal box in the Celica. Have been comparing master cylinder designs and was originally going to go with just Wilwoods High Volume but then ran across the Howe G3. The G3 is super compact and I love how you just crack your caliper bleeders and they bleed themselves. My only worry is how they specify not to use on the street.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

Chad finally upgraded and went with VQ power. I will let him chime in here and provide details on the car if anyone is interested.

First up on the mod list is Fortune Auto Coils. These guys are beefy with 50mm pistons with 30 way dampening adjustments and these bad boys go low. I have personally put Stance Gr+, Function and Form, BC coils on a g35 chassis and these by far are the lowest coils I have seen. I wouldnt doubt that you can lay frame on these coils and still have an inch or so left in the collar.

Old vs New

Chad's got some temp wheels at the moment till he finds that right set but when he does the fenders will be ready. Here he is attempting to roll the fenders, lolz..

The front fenders already come rolled but we removed the front fender lining tabs and gave it a lil roll to be safe.

Theres two main reasons I picked this one over several we looked at. 1) it's was a one owner car. 2) the color combination. I waxed and buffed it two weeks ago and am pleased on how nice it still shines up. (note: black trim has been taking care of now, pics were from when I finished. Just to lazy to take pictures of it)

Need help w/ Carb & Timing

Ok... SO here's the deal. I have been messing with this damn Solex carb since I got the car and just someone that knows a little bit more of what they are doing.

I have been tweaking slightly a little each day and I feel that i am getting nowhere. I can get it running perfect one day, then I go out the next and its complete crap again.

I don't know if its something that I am doing wrong or what. I have never messed with carbs before and don't really have an idea on what I am doing to be entirely honest.

The Solex only has 3 main adjustments, Fuel, Idle air, Idle mix, and idle speed.

I have a Honda for sale. It has 139000 miles on it. It is white with black interior (in mint condition).
It's lowered on ebay springs.
It has tinted window.
The passenger window switch doesn't work.
Chipped key has been lost so S2000 button installed.
AC blows cold.
Heat is good.
Drives straight. Nice Pioneer cd (will throw in 7" DVD radio).
HIDS.
Front fenders and hood are dented up from light bump into a truck.
Rear bumper is scuffed.

Great running car, good price, VTEC, 5 speed, just needs a little love. I don't feel like another project right now.

parting out a 2002 mazda miata was wrecked in the front end only has 47,xxx miles and nothing at all was wrong with the car other than the wreck, the only thing i really have a price for is the motor, trans, wiring harness, and ecu im asking $2000 this only has 47,000 original miles and it can be looked at and driven around the yard if so desired this is basically a new motor no replacing anything...everything else is for sale though just text list for price

So two days ago I lost my wallet at Wal mart and no one turned it in.

I canceled my cards 2 debit cards and 3 credit cards. But what I'm worried about is I had my social security card , dot card, 2 driver licenses , gun permit, and insurance cards in there. So my question is there anything I can do to protect myself from identity theft or anyway to check if someone starts filling out credit apps? Or am I fucked.

Im not sure whether the s14 silvia front is any different than the 240 or not but mine is wired up kinda janky. I need the whole thing the bulb goes in lol apparently the 240 takes a single element bulb ans the one that's there has two so the wires are just poked into the plug and keeps coming undone so I just need the plug off the back but ill buy both fixtures and everything to get it.
