You would think that when closing out the credit machines at the end of the night, the gas station owner/manager would be like "Ehhh...how do I have such high charges?!"
Did they think they were filling up Boeings or something?

I guess you know gas is high when one fill up costs more than some people will make in the next two or three years. Talk about recession.

I tried to buy a $3000 computer with my check card (which I also use for gas) and it was declined and I was contacted by the Visa fraud department, so I am surprised this did not throw a similar type flag.

There's also a 3rd person

It"s only happened if you prepay inside with a debit card and use the Mapco rewards card. Scary shit though.

I try and just use my card at the atm. It is easier to keep up with your balance too. first tennessee has the worst online banking.

I had this happen to me when I was 18 at a shell station in Madison. Except they only got me for 50$. Every time you use your card at the gas station there is a printer in the office inside the gas station that prints out your card information like a receipt. So all it would take is a bad employe to take your info and use it.

Are you saying that's true for a specific gas station or all of them?

If fill up there a few times a week and lucky to have no issues so far. Need to check my statement more often though. I will say that the reward cards had major issues during the first few months and I stopped using it for a while but all is good for the last few months.
