KEA Bangalore has issued official notification for KCET 2017 for Engineering, Medical admission. Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is going to conduct by KEA Bangalore for the academic session. Candidates can apply online for the written test which is scheduled in the month of May 2017. Once the result got declared, the counseling for KCET will get the start by June 2017 where the seats will be allocated to the candidates on the basis of their rank in the exam. Candidates can get all the entire information from the official website.

KCET 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates have to strictly follow the notified instruction as the admission will only be given to eligible candidates of KCET 2017 who is eligible as per follow:
Candidates should be an Indian Citizen.
Engineering Course
the main subjects of the candidate in qualifying examination should be Physics, Mathematics, and English, having optional subjects as Chemistry / Bio-Technology /Biology/ Electronics / Computer Science.
In the KCET exam, candidate have to secure minimum 45% marks(40% for SC/ST/Category-I/OBC)
Architecture Course
Candidates have to attempt NATA 2017 and have to secure minimum 40% marks in it.
In the qualifying examination, candidates have to secure 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/Category-I/OBC) in which candidates should have mathematics as a main subject.
Application FormCandidates can submit the application from for KCET 2017 as per the following process: -
To submit the KCET 2017 application form, candidates need to access the KEA official website and need to register them. Then, candidates have to enter their personal details, educational details and contact details along with their left-hand thumb impression scanned image, photograph, and signature. Candidates need to submit the application form fee of Rs. 650 (Rs.500 by SC / ST Category).for this, candidate have to download the challan form and pay the fee.
Admit Card
Candidates can download their admit card from the official website in the month of April 2017. To download it, candidates need to submit their User Id and Password. Candidates have to download it and need to take a print of it and have to bring it in the exam hall. Candidates who will not have their admit card will not be permitted to write the exam.
Exam Pattern
The snapshots of the exam pattern are given below:
KCET 2017 will hold three papers, that is, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.Each paper will have 60 questions that will be Multiple Choice Type.
For giving each right answer, one mark will be awarded to the candidates (no negative marking will be there for the wrong answer).
Candidates have to give Kannada language exam that will be of 50 marks and they have to score at least 12 marks to pass the examination.

Syllabus
KCET 2017 examination syllabus will be the same as that of PUC (First and Second).
Candidates can check the syllabus on the official website and can prepare for the exam as per that.
Result
Karnataka CET Result 2017 will be released on the official website. The KCET Result will indicate the paper-wise and overall score of the candidates, and the merit rank. The merit of the engineering candidates will be prepared by considering in equal proportion, the marks of CET and qualifying exam. On the other hand, to determine the merit of the Architecture candidates, the marks of the qualifying exam and NATA 2017 will be considered, in equal proportion.
Counselling
KEA is planning to conduct online counseling for KCET 2017, where candidates need not visit the Help centers and will able to get their documents verified from an online KCET counseling portal. But, if the KEA held offline counseling, then, candidates have to visit the specified help centers for the verification in June 2017.
