My bold prediction: Vanderbilt will be a top 25 team. Take it to the bank.

Eh, I won't disagree with you. We'll see.

Good to see the SEC more even across the board than it has been in the past.

Which poll? Possible but I doubt it.

The only poll that matters is the BCS poll.

Honey Badger really doesn't care, right?

Yeah now he can not care for a div II school lol

edit: Looked at vandy's schedule. I see 4 or 5 losses. If they pull a couple wins out they might get 25 but definitely not higher than 20.

Auburn finished 8-5 last year and was in the BCS top 25 at the end of last season. However, their strength of schedule was a lot tougher than Vandy's. That's what hurts Vandy. So BCS top 25 probably won't happen, but I honestly don't think 8 wins is a stretch for this team. I think it is very realistic. If they come out and bust South Carolina in the mouth and win the opener, that will finally show everyone in the country the new VU attitude that everyone is buying into. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high, but James Franklin is turning things around on West End, and people are buying in.

He can transfer anywhere other than DI schools and play immediately. He can transfer to a DI school and sit out a year then play next year. He'll still be a first round pick in the NFL once he's eligible no matter where he goes as long as he lays off the pot.

I don't know that I agree with this. Too many NFL teams have been burned by bringing on big-contract trouble makers. They've learned the hard way that it's better to get 2-3 solid, sure-things for the money, as opposed to one high paid, high-risk, big performer. They're business people too, and they weigh the risk vs. reward.

It's one thing to miss a game for something stupid. It's a WHOLE different issue to miss an entire seasons at a TOP TIER D1 team ver a MULTIPLE offense problem. It means you weren't bright enough to learn the first time.

I think he just seriously hurt his draft prospects.

He's 20. Every kid makes mistakes 2 or 3 times before they learn from them. Percy Harvin, Dez Bryant, Justin Blackmon. Those are just a few of the top of my head that had plenty of trouble in college and still went in the first round. Especially now with the rookie wage scale teams will be more willing to take a risk for such high potential knowing that they won't pay as much.

I agree if he cleans up some then he will do fine. I think he has the talent but teams will shy away from players with repetitive problems. But not everybody is Marcus Vick and a total screw up. He threw better and was faster than Mike but still doesn't play ball competitively.

College football is my favorite time of year, Louisville fan, although my dad went to UT so I root for the Vols in SEC play

Nah I'll actually be in Nashville for the weekend though, staying right near Vandy. Was hoping their game was at home this Saturday, but I guess not.

Speaking of transfers, Da'Rick Rogers jumps ship to TN Tech to play FCS immediately. Wonder what will happen next year.

He'll fail another drug test and Dooley will be fired at the end of the year. So, nothing will happen next year lol.
