04 sentra died while driving
Long story short had my oil changed yesterday at Nissan of Murfreesboro it drove just fine before then and I only drove about 10 miles after my oil change but this morning I'm driving and it just died on me while driving. Check engine light comes on I put it In park pop the hood and check oil ITS DRY wtf!?!? What can I do? And if something's broken because of that they should fix for free right? It's a 04 with the 1.8l
They said everything checkout out and on that "inspection" sheet they signed saying everything's good

I'd call the dealer and let them know what happened. They should be responsible for any damages incurred. Maybe Nate or Roman can chime in with the legal options you could take should you have to go that route. This is why I always change my oil myself. It's a bit of a pain, mostly just having to dispose of the oil, but I know it's done right and for the price I can use a better oil. I hope everything works out for you, I know that's gotta suck.

Unless you have a major oil leak, i see a new motor in your future. And someone loosing their job.

Is it locked up? A tps problem shouldn't have killed it.

It'll turn over but I kill it after about 10 seconds as I'm afraid to do any more damage that may happen

Does it turn over easy? Or is it dragging? Any knocks or noises? Or just dead?

Where are you? I might can come look at it too.

They should have a record of who did it, and is about to be fired, at least.

IMHO, try and get a sample of oil from it before they tow it (if they haven't picked it up already). That way you have it if it comes down to a pissing match, and if there is any motor damage, you can send the sample to BlackStone Labs to have it analyzed and a report.

If you knew it was out of oil, why the hell continue to try to start it?
