New: Wal-Mart.com Pick Up Today
Ok so if you haven't heard, May 13th Walmart has started a new .com service.
As most ppl know if we don't have what you want in the store you can order online at Walmart.com and have free delivery to your local store, site to store.
The new service is called Pick It Up Today. You can order any non consumable product that your local Walmart has in stock. You can then pick it up 4 hours after your order.
You do have to pay online for the products, but your card is not charged until you pick it up. It places a hold on your card, thus if they happen not to have something you ordered, it will be taken off before the final amount is posted.

Keep in mind, the diversity of the products we carry at Walmart then bestbuy. From cloths, to toys, domestics, and etc. I bet you our inventory probably contains triple if not more UPC codes than bestbuy. Also just the shear more customer traffic that comes through Walmart than bestbuy.

What is the benefit to actually going into the store and buying it? Just to save you from walking around the store? You have to go there anyways to pick it up...
Also, why are you promoting them? Do you work in corporate or something? Walmart is a pretty greedy corporation that utilizes some pretty shady business tactics... I wouldn't promote them personally.

walmart online prices are better than in store prices and most refuse to match their online prices, so i can see the benefit of this.

Yeah I could car less about what is going on at walmart. I avoid that place unless absolutely necessary. Like Vent said, they are a greedy corporation. I can't stand going in there.

Hey, thanks for noticing! (That wasn't the first post I expected to make, but I've always found it amusing when the most successful retail operation in the history of the world gets routinely trashed. Given the universal hate, you'd think they'd be out of business by now.)

no, he is right, walmart is a greedy evil corp. i work there. have for a few years now. i hate the place and how its ran. 98% of the products sold there is imported junk from 3rd world countries. they treat there employees like shit all the time, horrible pay and no room for advancement. its just not a good company all the way around. sam waltons son himself said his father would hate what his company has turned into.

Dude, you REALLY need to update your resume. If I honestly felt that way about the place I worked, my 24/7 part-time job would be finding someplace else to work!

By no means am I promoting Walmart for Walmart, but for the benfit of the people. As stated before, online prices are usually cheaper by a good bit and that is something nice about it. I enjoy working there for the most part, white house Walmart has a decent set of managers unlike some of the surrounding walmarts. I do not like the way things are done most of the time and ready to find a new job but working with the ppl I do really makes up.for it.

Hmmm, quit. It is a free country you know? You don't HAVE to work there. Then maybe you can find a good paying job where your boss fluffs your pillow and freshens up your Mai-Tai every hour or so.

Go work as a waiter if you want to complain about advancement.
I happen to get paid well and enjoy my job.
Dumped, you work in the electronics or cc or photo?
