Just got this today, I'm the second owner since new, female driven car. Good deal considering condition. My first 5-Speed, first Subaru. I've always wanted a WRX, specifically a bugeye. Bigger turbo, tires and wheels soon.

The wrx in my garage makes over 500hp and has a stock flywheel in it. So I see no reason for you to spend the extra money.
Bought Injector Dynamics 1000cc Injectors and getting tuned for E85 shortly after installing.
Bought Megan racing coils which need to be rebuilt...may get that done or just try and get a good spring/strut combo instead.
Living in Chattanooga now, went looking for good roads up Look Out Mountain.

go up signal. trust me...
I actually did that the other day aswell. Hella traffic though, took few turns off the main road and just ended up on residential roads. I think I'll hit it again today, with "suck creek"
Messing around with Launch Control on the grass/gravel to save the trans. Got me thinking about a 6 Speed swap, so now I'm looking into it. Gonna try and stay on the lower cost side and keep 5x100.
Living on campus, I don't really drive around much... but I am parked on campus by the rugby field haha. I think I saw your ride a while back, but I wasn't exactly sure it was your's, by the "UC"
Yea, it may have been mine. I usually park for class in front of the EMCS at those meters. But yea, living on campus I never drove. Now, the commute sucks and NO parking. Ugh
Yeah, seems like they sell more passes than there are spots to park in. If I leave and try to come back and park before basically 5, it is practically impossible to find a spot that isn't that gravel lot by that Hospital.
A/C Tensioner failed, tore up timing belt, timing jumped.

Now working to get the engine out this weekend, and going "fully built bro" with forged CP Pistons, and STi rods.

Updates and pics coming when the engine comes out and I know what happened inside.
That sucks about the failure, but I'm glad to hear you are building it up rather than parting it out. It seemed too nice to part out.
Thanks dudes. And yeah, this is my first project car, so I decided it's too soon to get rid of it. And I would never get my money out of it, obviously...

Engine was broken down to the bare block, and I have rods, pistons, bearings to go back in as soon as they arrive.

Heads are staying stock, but deleted and semi Porting and Polishing the TGVs
Heads are off to be machined and valves replaced. Every single valve hit their "respective" piston... :| Heads are staying stock, but deleted and semi Porting and Polishing the TGVs

Upping the Turbo, but not sure with what specifically yet, I'm considering the Blouch Dom 1.5xtr 8cm and the Blouch 16G-xtr.

Staying 2.0?
Yeah, I'm staying with 2.0l.
So "my" tuner recommended I go with a Forced Performance HTA 68 Turbo for the goals, which are roughly 350whp/wtq. So it seems as though that would be a good idea for me...

Being at school in a different city from where I can work on the car is sucking, but that's probably just me being a privileged asshole...anyways, hoping to have the block back together next weekend, then getting it all stuffed back in.

Gonna change a few things, get rid of the fart can, and go back to stock catback with an exhaust cutout off the downpipe...and possibly do Tokico D Specs and Stock Height Springs (Maybe King Springs) or something to help with turnin'
:Update:
After some thinking, I've decided I'm going to do a hybrid 2.5 Block-2.0 Heads set up, and run a Blouch Dom 1.5xtr turbo. Wanting less lag and more torque.
Looking to find a new EJ257 short block, then doing CP Forged pistons and calling it a day.
Who wants an EJ20 block...
:Update:
Finally, after having a couple engines sold out from under me, I got a "new" long block. It's an IAG built EJ257 with ACL Bearings, Nitrated 2011 STi Crank, and Manley Rods/Pistons with EJ205 S20 WRX Heads.

Hopefully I'll be taking delivery of it next week so I can finally get the car rolling again.

Looks like an awesome build. I have a PSM bug eye Sedan. Doing any head work on the ej205 heads?
