02 spec-v build

To start I bought this car back in August of last year and it was pretty rough as it wasn't taking care of. It was pretty much stock when I got it.

It had crappy tail light, 3 bent wheels, a crappy weld on muffler, a clogged cat, and just needed some other work.

But anyways onto the build. I'm starting to build a 400whp car. I should hopefully be picking my block back up this week from the shop. Ill be running the qr25 with stock 9:5:1 cp, with about 18psi Max boost. For now its a slow build as money is slow. It will be a all purpose car as it will be a daily. I already has tein coilovers, a 4 point jimmy bar, header full 2 1/4 exhaust, cai, balance shaft cut, 1 pound crank pull, and some others

Fair enough. You're always over there haha. Happens to the best of us...
I hate Sullivan farms. Especially my dickhead neighbors. They're all gay
...and I honestly think they're gay
y do u hate spec-v's?
Because if he didn't hate them, he wouldn't be Aaron Baird lol
i dont really know what the neighbors r like around here so i dont really have a say
y do u hate spec-v's?
because i worked at a dealer for 3 years, and spec v's are temperamental assholes.
i love mine and its something different
yea mine can be and ass sometimes thats y im giving her a new heart
ok first i see ur name and im just wana say gay spyder

2nd aaron bird found out he was gay in the back seat of a spec v

3rd trenton has been hitting on ur old lady
So i thought I would give an update. Got all the parts ordered and alot of the parts already.

-wiseco pistons 8:5:1 cp .20 over. Already have
-k1 connecting rods. On the way
-new qr25 crank for higher revving
-BC valve springs and retainers
-BC stage 2 cams
-ported intake with a vq35 throttle body
-precision 5858 Turbo
-3in from Turbo back
-clutch masters stage 4 six puck clutch
-are head studs

And I'm sure more will try and get some pics up later
What made you go with the BC cams instead of JWT? and I thought they proved that with the vq throttle body it actually hurt the qr's performance but that may have been a n/a motor, but I thought it wouldn't work on the 02-03 ecu's? my spec v was totaled so i'm not up to date on this, but just curious.
BTW I have a spec v tranny in case your interested.
because i worked at a dealer for 3 years, and spec v's are temperamental assholes.
so are their owners.... LOL
As for the spec-v owners being asses u got us mixed with mustang owners.

And the reason i went with BC is because they came with the kit. From what I read the Vq throttle body works great with f/I and all Ill have to do is a relearn. How many miles r one ur tranns and what year is it?
The way I understoud it was only the 04-06 could do the relearn but I could be wrong.
The trans is from an 03 and i'm not gonna lie it has 170k on it, and I had replaced it because it has a whine from one of the bearings in it, all the gears work with out a grind and I replace the front input shaft bearing but shortly after I believe the rear input shaft bearing went out. I gonna sell it cheap compared to what a junkyard one cost if you or anyones intrested.

theres a huge inside story you're out of the loop on. i'll leave it at that.
I wish I hadn't traded my spec v in. It'd be close to paid off now. Like the build though, keep us updated
Well I mean all the spec-v ppl I have talked to u awesome ppl so i guess someone met a rotten egg
got an update, got half the valves back in, got my boost gauge in, got the boost controler in, got the solid mounts in, got the intercooler stuff mounted in, got the crank in the motor, just waiting on the rods to come in

Make sure u loctite the butterfly screws an get a bsr kit, an a full exhaust. Three cheap an perfect upgrades other wise they will kill the motor!
Im in the air about the BSR kit, I had 194k on mine sprayed over 500lbs of N20 on a stock internal motor, still ran like a champ when I got hit head on in the turning lane.
I won't be using the kit. I gutted the inside

Kit is better, reliability wise. Atleast IMO with some facts, but ballin on a budget aint bad.
