I always liked the look of these cars a lot. Sucks that hyundai's resale values drop off so bad.

Oh tell me about it. I'll probably never sell it because of that.

Idk I just have the exhaust on right now. I dropped some headers off today for ceramic coating so ill have those on in a couple of weeks when I am not busy.

I forgot about this shit.

Pretty much at a loss of words for how pissed I felt yesterday. I spent over $900 to have my supercharger 24k plated and it is physically impossibly to have just the inner housing stripped. I have to have the whole thing stripped because nitric acid will eat any tape or covering.

The whole reason I haven't had it on is because I have been looking for a company who can strip the inside only. Live and learn I guess

Why was the inside plated at all?

Seems like that would screw up tolerances with the sc.

Couldn't you just strip it by hand? Sure it'd be slow and boring but you wouldn't lose the exterior....

Because the guy I sent the blower to was just a sales man/middle man he didn't actually do the coating himself. He assured me before I sent him the blower that the inside wouldn't get coated. Ten months later I had to threaten him to get my damn blower back and have the plating done I paid for. I can't strip it by hand because it's been chromed then had gold plating added to it. I've been told the only thing that will strip it without damaging the aluminum housing is nitric acid.

I've contacted six or more major coating/plating companies and hardly anyone will touch it because of the aluminum material and the coating process that was used.

I finally found a place in Florida that would but it has to be completely stripped can't be done partially.

Just about done with these. I need to clean the bolts, put silicon sealant on them, and torque them down. Still up in the air on what tires to get. I am definitely going to go with 235/40/17's I am limiting myself a lot on by the tire profile. I ran the same profile on my xxr's and I was happy with them.
