13bt has 2 series 86-88 has different parts from the 89-91 compression, irons, manifolds etc.

13btt completely diff. from the 13bt sames as the diff. between s4 and s5.

if your going to get any rotary swap.. get a 13bre and be better over all bigger ports and sexier manifold set up plus they are a newer breed of the rotary motors.

but few questions

whats dirt cheap?
what body style?
problems with said car?

Yeah like Wes said....Unless its going in an FD which originally came with the 13B-REW TT, I would go 13BT or 13B-RE like Wes said. Just depends on your goals. 13BTs are cheaper and are more than capable of supporting over 500hp with basic rebuild mods(ie; how mine is built with a bigger port).

Vinnie has a 13B-RE is his FC. 13BT is bolt-in as it is the stock TII engine....Also with RE, you would have to either get the stock ecu working(sounds like a pain in the ass) or go PowerFC to keep the stock twins running sequentially or convert to non-sequential or single turbo IIRC. A 13BT will do plenty for most and stock turbo setup with just intake/exhaust should make in the 230whp I believe. Wes's 13BT with a big streetport and GT35r should hit 400whp pretty easily.

Want a quick car that is easy to put together... 13BT

Want a super-badass car.... Go 13B-RE

All though RX-7's don't have rod bearings........ they are not a reliable cars/engines. IMO DO NOT BUY an RX-7......... If you keep the engine stock then OK. But I know you better than that :)

Note this message is for people with luck as bad as cturbo28's and 6spdTTsc300's

Dude, you blew up a 2jz-gte ON STOCK TURBOS and you're thinking about a rotary?!?!? Are you out of your mind!?!?! You managed to kill a motor with mickey mouse turbos in less than 1000 miles that I havent been able even piss off with 75,000 miles of shit loads of boost, nitrous, alternative fuels, and multiple trips over 10,000 rpm by accident. Seriously, I'm not even making fun of you, I'm impressed you were able to hurt that motor!

What I'm trying to say is, if you cant keep what is generally regarded as the toughest motor of all time in one piece..... its probly a bad idea to get into a car with what is generally regarded as the shittiest/most delicate motor of all time.
