Ok so some of you know.. i got an 89 s13 conversion rb20det swaped 240sx.

Alot of the work is already done but tons more to be completed..so.. I decided I should do a build thread from this point foward..if it still counts as a build thread..

I need to get my tranny installed so i worked on that today. Jacked the car up and put it on concrete blocks ready to install the tranny. Had to go to hopkinsville today to get me some tranny bolts. (lost the orginal ones)

Ill post pics of how the car sits right now..but its a working progress. I plan on having tranns installed and atempting to get the car running. Here is a few pics i took today..

Oh i love the rb.. its sounds soo much better then the SR's (sorry guys lol) Well so far i got most of the tranny bolts i needed. Im worried i got a wireing problem though because even with the tranny out of the car and the starter not mounted..the starter wont kick out or do anything when i turn the key over..but it might be because of the neutral safety swtich..from converting from auto and Manuel

Hmmm that might be what it is but i doubt it man. Just to help u out the nuetral sens is green with orange trace, It might be the wiring to ur chasis harness for the starter. Make sure its got good contact. Thats all i can think of off top.

I would rather pull the motor out and mount the tranny that way and reinstall it..but bah.i guess ill have to figure out it out..if anything..ill jump the starter just to see if the motor still runs

Today Im putting the tranny in..anyone ever dealt with the JYC adjustable short shifter for the s13/14? I want to make sure I installed mine correctly. It didnt come with directions.

Damn, you need to get some tall jackstands. Have you seen how easy those cinder blocks can crumble? Not worth risking your life to save a few bucks.

these look like coolant in and out but where the go from there i dunno maybe check the head and see if there ae open ports on the head for the going in and out of the end of the manifold. As for the one under the throttle body not sure but it could also be a coolant line as well...... just my .2

LOL, those are for a single coolent line that runs to the turbo, u can sorta see it in the pic.

Thanks...I see where the bottom one goes up underneath the throttle body..but not sure about the other two. I went and got jack stands today..i just did that to get it off the ground for now. I hope to have the tranny installed this afternoon if not tomorrow.

the other two are coolant lines , the should come off the block beside the water pump like this.

Anyone have the wireharness diagram or a picture of the wireharness for the RB20 Tranny? I got two pigtails coming off the tranny and no wireharness that matches up with anyone of them!!

they will be in ur lower rb harness.

Well from what ive researched.. i can just make a jumper and jump the netural safety switch right? and also make a jumper for the other switch under the hood in the fuse box...i hope thats all it is. And i should be able to use my stock speedo cable

yeah u can use jumpers, and stock cable is good.......BUT ur speed sensor wont work with the rb. I have a r32 guage cluster. Ur tach wont work either.
