Honestly...nothing bad will happen. It will just give us more information on the universe and how it was created. The chances of the Earth getting sucked into a black hole or something is just ridiculous.

it would not prove the big bang it would just get closer but there is no way to prove the big bang.
they are trying to find dark matter. or anti matter
its not that big of a deal.

Ok here is how I think it will go. Either nothing at all will happen and will be like
any other particle/atom smasher/accelerator or w/e. Or they will find out something AWESOME.

Examples:

1)Mini black holes can be made and we can go to another universe instantly<< SICK awesome
2) Find the cure for cancer << Somehow I feel like anything is possible
3) Blows up earth
4) Sends out a pulse/shockwave that kills anything that is electronic pretty much
5) Create a new atom or w/e
6) Unlimited amounts of energy is found and used.
7) New way to run cars or new type of fuel

in my eyes god cant really be proven
its all in ure faith and what u choose to beleive in
or in some cases what u let ureself influenced to choose without makin ure own desicions on what u beleive

I think what you are reffering to is the "god particle" aka higgs boson.....it could explain how the universe was made, how would this prove there is no god? It wouldnt...
