friend of mine showed me this, apparently Aphex Twin hides "images" in his music...

reminds me of the satanic messages people find when they spin vinyls backwards...

anyways, the image you see, you can see using Audacity, and basically its the "frequency waves" when you play this (sorry for the stupid image when you put your mouse over it, its the sound i want you to "see")

to be honest, this is one of my least favorite songs from him...he has much MUCH better shit...

basically, your computer doesn't play sound. it's just what YOU hear.

instead it uses frequency signals to your speakers, which ultimately "turns into sound"

frequency is the amount of times a circuit is completed in one second, measured in hertz (Hz). (like say for instance, your 120 volt ac outlet in your home actually circulates about 60 times in one second, therefore is 60Hz)

with Audacity, you can physically see what the computer sees, and Aphex Twin created an image with it.

Someone get Spoolie a link to "Come to Daddy" or "Windowlicker" - those videos are quite astounding. We did a study of the "Windowlicker" video in one of my classes at college. By the end of the Quarter, everyone in the class could basically replay the entire video in their heads, and comment on what move he was going to make next. Pointless, but it was a fun exercise, and rediculous that my TEACHER was a hardcore Aphex fan.
