I know a pretty good bit about Celicas and Toyotas and I definitely consider this a sleeper. This car, before the engine swap, had the 5s-fe in it, which is shared with the Camry. It only makes about 130hp to the crank, and I can imagine a bit less the wheels. This is the higher trim level too (not including the all-trac), as opposed to the puny ST that everyone and there grandma drove. If the 3s-gte he dropped in is making as much power as he estimates, I imagine it would be pretty quick.... or at least a vast improvement over stock. :mrgreen:not a sleeper at all ... especially for anyone that knows anything about Toyotas or Celicas
Most ricers are no honda/no care so its still pretty sleeper, but not as sleeper as a 3S-GTE swapped Camry All-Tracnot a sleeper at all ... especially for anyone that knows anything about Toyotas or Celicas
Ah, ok then. I see where you're coming from.... I didn't really think that most people would go through the trouble of doing a swap....its pretty much an ST185 ... or ST205 if its a 3rd gen 3S-GTE like the Celica GT-Four ... i say its not a sleeper because its an EXTREMELY common swap
and yes, i know all about the 5S-FE .... the same swap in my car would be just as easy, and much more sleeper
lenny i can count on 1 finger how many fast celicas i have seen from that body style and that the one. ive never seen a all trac so i would not even look back at it to give a second looknot a sleeper at all ... especially for anyone that knows anything about Toyotas or Celicas
