I hate the demecratic congress, thats where our policies come from, we have had one for 2 years and now we're in a ressesion, thank you democrats!. Presidents are elected spokes people we live in a represenitive republic, if it where a true democracy the president would be more important, but as it sits congress will just keep voting to give themselves raises (yes they do that) and meanwhile we'll are sit here clueless because the mass media controls what we hear and what we don't.

you do know we are a capatalist country right? what programs are you talking about republicans cutting for the poor? There IS still a middle class (im it). the whole rich get richer thing: everyone in this country can't be rich if everyone where rich, every one would be poor. Our economy is based loosely on the amount of useless shit we can buy, look at our malls there a testimate to this fact, look at your car, do i really need the car(s) i have? as far as welfare goes.............it should end. Welfare was a program started after the depression to battle poverty, unfortunately you get these leaches that use it to buy dope and other crap they don't need and never get jobs, so f-welfare, im all about strong surviving. If your weak, thats your problem.
social security........useless to my generation, 401k and investments ftw, and if you can't invest then take it out of your paycheck, or get a second job cuz you don't make enough money.

as far as the recession, the dependency on foreign oil has alot to do with that and world economics in general including the fact that the euro and the pound trounced the dollar this year and last year.

wow lidwell ur so wrong about so many things in this thread...i wish i had the time to even type in here..if u really are that ignorant when it comes to why people are republicans...then well ur pretty much a failure...yes i am a Christian, but that is not the reason why i am Republican, i am a Rep because well they support issues that..how should i put this....make sense...i am sorry that u hate how the money is distributed more among the rich...but that is probably because they are working hard to earn their money..it isn't just a bunch of dudes sitting around smoking cigars laughing at the lower class...I am sorry if i don't want my money to be taxed more and given to lower income families that want to just take from the system till they run us dry..yes i know some families aren't like that, but i HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE freeloaders....

and if so many democrats have little faith in the government..then why do they support so many things that put more power into their hands...social security is a failure..so how does it make sense to put healthcare into their hands also...small government is so much better..

Obama is 2 extreme for this country..and is not a good solution...only reason he is still in it is because of how well the media portrays him..the guy can't decide what he wants to support...and he never answers a question with a solid answer...ask the guy if we should bull out the troops he would probably come up with some BS answer like "well i don't think we should have them there, so yes, but we can't pull them out either" that way he neither supported nor was against it....

Give me some reasons why Obama is a better candidate..and if u say anything about him not being Bush, a republican, etc i will puke

I used to think that i hated the government but after serving my country i learned what the government actually is........YOU......the government is a bunch of americans that can't agree on anything at all, thats what the government is you can't just say i hate big government because this is a representative republic, your parents and other adults have voted to elect every official in charge of whatever, there is no 1 group of people sitting in an office labbeled GOVERNMENT. It doesn't work like that, if your that upset, run for public office.
