I hate that "Cummin than Strokin" phrase, but you're dead right - the mere though of a fucking V8 diesel is just rediculous. It's not even a light-commercial-use industrial engine - it's just a pathetic joke and an attempt to challenge the market. Real diesels - REAL commercial-industrial diesels - are inline 4, 6, or 8, and do the fucking workload required with minimal downtime, minimal manhours of service/maintenance, and have million-mile service lives... There's not a V8 joke of a diesel that's going to do that without shitting itself.
