GSR header too short to reach cat on civic. Options?

I'm close to completion on my b18c1 into 94 civic hatch swap.

I've got like a 6" gap between the end of the header and where my cat hangs.

Some dude at Napa told me that I could use an LS header and it will be the correct length. He also said the flange on my stock cat would be offset compared to the integra header flange.

Is he correct in both of these statements?

Also, if the gsr header is shorter, is the cat longer? And visa-versa w/ LS,GS,RS teggies? Does an LS teg have a shorter cat? Or do they just have a shorter cat-back exhaust?

If the gsr does in fact have a longer cat, I assume I could use a GSR sized hi-flow cat w/ the gsr header and it should reach my civic catback.

thnx

Just have a pipe made to connect what you have. Very easy fix.

i had the problem with my b18c. someone tried to give me a header that was used on a LS. way to short and hit the oil pan. i was told only the ITR replica or not would fit. 4-1. maybe a 4-2-1 will fit to, idk, im usin the 4-1 tho
DC.... I.T.R. CERAMIC HEADER FTMFW!!!

No...I will not sell it, unless I find a TODA I.T.R. spec.

Which engine exactly are you using? I thought the B18B1 and B18C1 would be the same height. The header I've got now (dc made for GSR) fits around the motor just fine, but the end of it is shorter than I can use on my eg chassis with the stock exhaust.

This pic illustrates my point.

your all idiots...go to erin and have him fab you a pipe...
Oh I already feel a warm welcome to this site. Amidst a legitimate discussion of header sizes, an administrator busts through with "your all idiots".

LMAO!!! TRUE....
I don't want extra pipes. I want a header, a cat, and a cat-back.

I also wouldn't want to make the 10 miles across town trip with an open header.

Yes, I could have a pipe welded in. Yes, it would "fix" the problem. Yes, it would probably only cost like $30 at any muffler shop.

I know this. I've thought about it. If anyone else would like to suggest having a pipe fabbed, I've thought about it.

pussy...... Then u can sound like super JdM TyTe honda civic race car tokyo jap super racer
well then mr. alex you should have done your research on the interweb and found that when using a b swap into your chassis you would need "x" header to fit or change to different exhaust...but you want to be spoon fed the answers instead of doing your own work, with most children i give them the answer that is a quick fix. thats what everyone wants is a cheap quick fix instead of doing it correctly the first time...enjoy your short stay here.

Thank you spoolie. That was really....really constructive. I should have done my research. Wow.

wtf do you think I'm doing here? I posted a simple question in hopes that some one has been through this before and could shed some light on it for me.
If you don't know the answer, you don't HAVE to come and just be spiteful towards me. Wtf did I do wrong here? Anybody?

Why would the admin of a forum flame a newcomer for posting a question? A question to which, you spoolie, obviously don't know the answer to. Yet, I'm an idiot because I don't know. I'm an idiot for trying to find out the correct header / exhaust for my car.
LS motors do have a different deck height, and a longer merge section, but might not reach still, have heard that using udsm gsr mounts help locate the motor in a better position and accomodate for some of the gap..some of the older 4-2-1 gsr headers with the flex-pipe on them might be to your benefit...i had to have my jdm 4-1 itr header lengthened with a new flange to meet up with my exhaust...driving open header is bitchin..for like 5 minutes
