Honda starter-How does it work?

Ok, so you ave your 12volt battery that powers the starter. Then you have on small wire going into the (relay maybe)?

Does this wire ground or add power to the starter to turn it on?

I'm working on making a remote start and I was wondering about how to get the starter running.

umm the little wire goes to the soliond it makes the pinion go out, so it will make contact with the flywheel and it getts 12 volts
I know that.. I am mostly asking if the wire grounds or adds current.
if you could can you tell us how you are planning to do this??? with a kit or some ******* riggin

current. take the starter off and put jumper cables on your battery then hook (-) to the body and touch(+) to the soliniod and see how it works
Thats all I needed to know, thanks.
Why are you going to the stater wire at the starter. you could simply just use the starter wire coming out of your ignition switch and just throw 12volts to it. you will need to power up you accessory wire and ignition wire coming out of the ignition switch anyways or your heater and all other accessorys want work including your motor ignition. I can get you the wire colors if you would like. Or you can go here and look up your wiring for you car it will make it alot more simple

After thinking about it I might invest in a block heater.. I have been reading and have brought up results that excessive idling of your car is bad for it, and can reduce fuel milage up to 25%.. I hate getting up at 6 in the morning and either running my car for 10 minutes while it cleans itself out, or driving down the road for 15 minutes while it warms up with no heat..
