I've only done it once but yeah use that form. As long as the vehicles are within a certain price difference.... not sure on the actual number, then its easy. Then just swap tags over.

No you wont have to pay sales tax on a trade.

Car you already own... or just bought? If the tags are expired just drive it until you get back. If you get pulled over they usually let you go anyways or if you prove you got the tags renewed by your court date they usually throw out the ticket... at least here in Davidson county.
