Lame

Why not buy a better example of an S2000 than spend all of this time and money fixing a clunker?
I have no idea why quoting my talon being cut up leads to getting a better S2k... but like Hedtrip said, I planned on cutting it up from the start so why spend lots of money on an expensive car when you can save a little and spend lots of money on a cheap car and still have the same outcome.

Why cut up a good car? When you can cut up a beater for cheaper?

Nice build. Why not go with overfenders in the rear? I agree with you about the S2K being underpowered stock. It's a great track car, but on the street a little boring. I ended up making just under 4xx whp with mine and it was pretty fun.

onto widening the front fenders.... again was going to make them out of carbon fiber but time constraints forced me to do something quicker so metal it was.
I started by cutting about 1/4" to 1/2" from the OEM radius so i could keep that perfect flow from horizontal to vertical flanges, aligned it to where i wanted it (approx .75" from edge of tyre to edge of fender and tacked some positioning pieces in.

Then came the cardboard cutout template

then once i was happy, steel.

once both sides were done I removed them and cleaned the undersides up.

then sprayed some primer and rubberized undercoat on them.

layed a thin layer of bondo over it so i could smooth out the transition.

then some Goodies turned up, a 2x2 carbon fiber hardtop.

Liking this build so far. Perfect template to go extreme like you are.

What?

Your DSM was nice, you just called it fully built with a stock transmission, blew it up, and then trashed a decent shell. Minus the shitty rolled fenders you had some moron do for you. Then you asked ridiculous prices for it and its parts.

Then you buy a POS S2k when you could have bought a non POS and saved yourself time and money.

Stop pretending that you know what you are doing.

I never said that the car was fully built... i said the engine was fully built, which it was since i had 8k in the longblock alone.

The DSM was a nice car........ to me, nobody else thought that it was worth as much as it was to me therefore parted it out and scrapped it.

Parts/shell were on forums and CL for about 10 months Cheap!.... you could have bought some if you wanted.

I widened the front bumper to match the fenders using foam board and fiberglass...

decided to give plastidip a go on my wheels

by this time i had only 5 days before I needed to be in Wisconsin, so i threw some rear flares on it and bondo'd the dent in the door.

gave it a sand down with 600 grit sandpaper

and me and a friend who dabbles in Vinyl graphics wrapped the car in Arlon Performance plus gloss white wrap
