so my S has some rock chips on the hood that are barely noticable but i know they are there, and some spots where the previous owner put some touch up paint on to thick...does anybody know what would be the best way to get this fixed or a place to take it to?
surely someone on here could knock that out for ya-
don't know of anyone in your area- i'm not experienced enough to just volunteer on a s2k either-but here's $.02 worth:
i just practiced on the eg roof- same deal, crappy touch up. my clear coat is about shot- so i had to be xtra careful- one plus for me,had the advantage of having the supplies/buffer to do it with at work and a couple good painters giving advise too

i took 2000 grit and knocked the high spot of touch up paint down- buffed it with compound (just sanded the one spot- but i used the compound/buffer on the rest of the roof to make it shine again, then swirl remover- then hand polished. washed/dried-then seal it up with some good wax. looks good and shiney but i can still see the spot where the touch up paint is a lighter shade, just not so obvious. mines' white too- easy to hide stuff in white paint.
good luck!
