So are there any good machine shops in the Knoxville area needin to get my head shaved and also need my block acid dipped to get all the gunk outta of it from where i took the motor out in feb and just now gettin around to wanting to put it back in.
yeah but since i live all the way outside of morristown dont wanna go all that distance than find there is a minor problem so lookin for something more towards the morristown side of knoxville if there is anything that wayshawnpepper said:there is a place in maryville called hitch's. they are pretty good, just make sure you tell them exactly what you want. i've used them several times, only problems have been minor.

muratic acid my freind. it is the all purpose metal cleanerCalmoc9 said:to echo what shawn said, make sure you know what you want and you ask for what you want. i asked for a hone and hot tank, expecting it to come out like bright, clean, fresh cast aluminum. no. the cylinders were indeed honed with a light film of oil, but the out side of the block was still rough, ugly and discolored. clean tho.... still not sure how to get that clean look, other than plain old elbow grease.
