I have a 1998 dodge ram. When I press down the clutch to go into first gear, it makes a really sharp noise until i let it go and push the gas. Its loud on the first gear, then 2nd its soft, and from 3rd-5th, it doesnt make any noise. Anyone here might know whats up?

Sounds like a bad throwout bearing.

yup agree with the two of them. bad throw out bearing. And if it is a dry/bad throughout bearing, be sure to stick with OEM parts, as aftermarket throw out bearings tend to go bad fast.

oo good thing i got the OEM part because i was thinking of aftermarket. Thanks for the info!
