s14.5 v2.0 Off-Topic Discussion

Some of you knew all along...others didn't so i guess I will go ahead and inform this serious place called the internetz.....the 240 is still around.....car has been stripped down again and no short cuts will be taken this time around. Car will be fully painted this time....interior included, bay will be the same color...new wheels, new suspension, new motor, etc. Car will be completely different this go around.

Motor of choice will be the nutswinging magnet known as the 2jz.Shooting for no less than 500 on pump and whatever else i can pull off on kill mode. Shooting for a very responsive turbo that makes decent power quickly and will be fun as hell to drive once its said and done. Was considering going for a big boy setup, but after talking to a few with more experience in the field than I have, I decided that I would rather have responsiveness over lag and power, since I rarely get on it anyways.

Shooting to have the car done by next summer's import alliance meet, but if I don't meet that goal, I'm not too concerned...

First thing will be getting the engine may prepped for mounting it in the optimal location, so im working on welding up some holes I won't be needing and then soon I will be removing everything from the bay so we can get the motor in so we can start on making the mounts. After that will be driveshaft, getting the wiring harness done and making sure it fires up, then I'll be pulling the motor to finish up the bay and get it painted and make any last adjustments to the mounts....stiffen up, etc. and after the engine bay, I'll finish up the paint on the rest of the car and have everything else hopefully finished up fairly quickly once I get the ball rolling. I have a few bits and pieces I won't be posting up just so people won't know everything to expect and hopefully keep people checking out the build.

Will have pics up by Thursday of the progress so far so stay tuned in for updates as long as I get some days off work I'll be able to make some progress.
