finally...im going to go pick up a l28et motor to swap into my 1972 240z and was wondering if anyone knows anything about putting a l28et into a 240z....also i seen the 260z in the classified (before it got deleted) that had the sr20det and was wondering if anyone knew what turbo he was running and how it was mounted?

if ur talking about carter i believe he was running a 3076r.....i dont remember if it was top mount or bottom mount, but the majority of higher end manifolds are gonna be top mounted.

oh sorry i just read what i wrote and i meant to say intercooler(not turbo)

ummmm not sure, but on my 240 it was held on top with a bracket to my hood latch mechanism, with 2 supporting mounts at the bottom that connected to parts of the core support.

but the only down side is that the l-series motors dont have crossflow heads...so the intake and exaust are on the same side...so if i dont want 10 foot of piping in my car ill have to get a non cross flow intercooler but i dont know exactly where to mount it...
