so in case you missed it
my build(1700 miles)
had an oil galley
clogged with a piece of gasket
starving the #4 cam bearing of oil
and locked my motor up

Ill add pics of the motor later
here is the start of my engine bay project

Wiring on the drivers side(coil/stater solenoid etc)
yes it comes this messy

So i pulled the front fenders and bumper off to get a better grasp
on what i had to work with

Then i sat down and decided how the best way to run everything was going to be
and made a game plan
labeled my connectors
then got to tucking

yes it looks kinda scetchy at the moment
but im not close to done yet
the engine bay is gunna have all the holes filled
and sprayed flat black

ya the motor i have is stout
just needs some tweaks
im gunna put a main girdle on it
to strengthen the block
it should be good then
then hook the bottle back up to it
im not going to increase the ci
because honestly that whole
"there's no replacement for displacement" saying
is kinda out dated
boost is where its at and that the route i wanna go

maybe i should put a 2Jz in it
that seems to be a popular swap these days haha jk

Honestly...the 306 is great. My friend has had some problems with his though. He ran a Vortech on it at like 15 psi and he blew the crank or something. Then he got a turbo kit and slapped it on. Blew that too. Honestly...if your looking for boost and get some big numbers you might want to invest in a 331 or a really damn good tune.

or...

if you say so

well im guessing he was running stock rods and crank
the added ci of a 331 doesn't make it stronger
the 331 kits are usually all forged
which makes them stronger
you can do the same thing with 306
just not in a kit
i could have a 306 with forged pistons/h-beam rods/ and nodular crank/main girdle
it would take whatever you could throw at it

2jz fox no WAY!
what havn't they swapped that motor into????

i got a four wheeler
anyone wanna install a 2j in it?
