don't know if anyone cares, but my entire family lives in Baton rouge and in Morgan City, BR will be without power and land lines for 4-6 weeks. I have a direct line in if you need to get ahold of anyone, they are short on gasoline for generators, but they have running water. MC is not so lucky, no water, sewage, power, and it's flooded.

Is it still raining out there? That stinks man, I wish them the best.

I remember in Virginia and North Carolina a few years ago a Hurricane came through, it wasn't very strong, but nobody was prepared for it. No water and power for weeks. Dumped a ton of water on us!

I hate how the news makes it seem like places that got hit weren't hurt. The impact was great no matter if New Orleans survived. Also, they almost never say how it affected the surrounding areas were affected. The news really bugs me sometimes...

Hopes and prayers go out to your family.
