Hey guys, Just wondering,
What tuning programs are out there for an S13 Built KA24-T

I dont want megasquirt and the Safc is not even an option... the only other thing I know of is,

the problem I have with this is its 500 for a guy to tune your car without... tuning it... He sets up maps and then sends you the ecu...
I know thats not gonna work..

I want something like DSMLINK but not AEM AMS,
I want to be able to hook my laptop up to it and tune it myself, Or have a shop like Carma tune it...

So Since its all new to me, let me know.

And no, I do not have a 240sx yet... This is something I want to research before I go about trading someone....

89 240SX coupe, KA24 DOHC Built internals, garret 60trim etc...

He is a S13 tuning wiz... Nistune is what it is called. Thats the way I'm going.


And about the trade... I'd watch out about that 240.. grant it I don't know anything about it but I'm warning you it's not fun at all to have your daily driver as something that was someones previous rag machine. Trust me I know.

Not saying th car is a POS but I'm just warning you.

Looks like it's been Sr'd the chassis has seen multiple motors I bet...

NIStune FTW, if you can find someone close that has messed with it. Its still a new program. You could get away with eManage or bikirom, but megasquirt would do a better job, IMO. I know a bunch of guys using bikirom and are satisfied with it on their ka-t's, but its still a hack. go standalone or go JWT (if they even offer for the ka) or enthalpy.

i can can second brandons tuning. JWT ecu's are just a easy way out. if u knew what a NISTUNE program could do then u would change ur mind. same as megasquirt. when i was aiding brandon's sil-240 the JWT ecu was robbing power . for the money get the upgrade.

Yes its seans old car he has bought injectors for it and we had a nice lil tune on it at 14 pnds with 650cc injectors but they were to big now has 520cc in it and it was SICK! on 14 psi but he doesnt want to trade you now, with your car, exhaust leaks, engine light, etc. He said looked good in picks but person eh, not so great, but the 40 is the same way eversince the hood flew up on him last week leaving my house!
