IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION.........

Turbo. Superchargers aren't really most efficient with 4 cylinder economy cars. With superchargers, it takes power to make power...

V6's, yeah... V8's, HELL YEAH!!! But just not on a 4 cyl.

And a T25/T28 is all you would really need... but that depends on how much power/pressure you want out of the car and what other mods are you going to do to support the extra boost/power.
i think it's gunna be slow either way!

but turbo would be better

turbos are the way to go on a 4 cyl honda...no doubt about it. ..name a honda s/c that has made massive power with no nitrous. i cant think of any.

well thats all great and stuff but im not running a honda im running a chevy you know domestic not vtec but ecotec it works slightly the same but not quite and the cobalt seems to do quite well super charged

and if you search around the ls turbo cars are making the SS packages seem stupid....infact if i'm not mistake a few guys have bought the SS Moo-balt, and gotten the non-s/c car....and then made it a turbo car....

bottom line is this.....
turbo or s/c pick your poison.......if you have a roots blower now...stick with it...swap pulleys, port the snout and runners, ....there is always more power to be made..eventually you're gonna get to the limitsof the block.....

but i can honestly put money on it...if you were turbo...you'd be faster :)
How much torque steer do you want? A little? Go with supercharger. A lot? Go with turbocharger.

not entirely true...lol...torque steer is amazingly a by product of torque...or bad motor mounts....or open diff *less usual* .....so depending on how you want to look at it...a twin screw s/c provides incredible amounts of tq....that's what they're famous for....off the line tq......but usually they puke out closer to redline....if ya don't believe that...drive a SS/SC....idle-4500rpms is wicked....then it's like riding a honda...then you hit 3rd gear...and it feels like a normal pulling car...

if you go turbo...you get that pull all the way through redline...and yes, you will tq steer alot more when you get that first peak in boost....but that's just a sign of going fast...what's the problem ???? lol....

like i said...you have it s/c already...i'd work on that setup some more...there is always ways to improve that setup....but if you're contemplating turbo...it will provide you with lower ets...9/10 times!

oh, and a procharger/centrifagual charger isn't even an option....it provides the worst of both worlds...

As much as I love superchargers (as you can tell from my username), a turbo would probably be the best bet for a 4-banger.
G
its just when you talk about turbos to some people ....they think 15 pounds is 15 pounds.....but as most of you all know is....its all about the trim of the turbo. if you get a gt-t28 on 15 pounds....its nothing like a gt-35r on the same boost because of air flow. so some superchargers might make more power....its also just the owners choice....but i agree if i already had a s/c i would get a smaller pulley and add some fuel. but i know of a s/c cobra that took the s/c off and added a nice huge turbo. and on less boost made more power. its just depends what your looking for out of your motor and how much it can handle. do you want no lag or do you want it to lag and hit hard.
id take a turbo over a s/c anyday...

turbo for race
s/c for daily driving

a turbo will make a lot more power than a s/c setup on pretty much any car. someday im going boost for my rsx and i will deff be going turbo. to give an example a s/c rsx will make around 270-300ish with a tune and smaller pulley. a turbo setup for the same money will net you 350ish easy. the most ive seen for s/c on the rsx is around 500whp and for the turbo is around 800whp for street driving.

it all depends on what you want. i would go turbo if it was my choice though

A shitload of horsepower doesn't do you any good if your turbo doesn't spool up until 5th gear, though (i.e. most single turbo Supras, Civics making 600whp, etc.) Those are what I like to call dyno queens. Once the turbo kicks in, they're fast as shit, but you've got to be doing 115mph before it spools up.

Horsepower is for bragging rights. Torque wins races. ;)

i see what your saying...but watch a video of a T67 supra vs a 03 cobra and see who wins (assume they have close horsepower). the supra will start to lose in the beginning by a car or so and then by next gear it'll fly past it. the point is im not against s/c's...a friend of mine has one on his 5.0 mustang (which by the way is damn fast) but id perfer a turbo over an s/c. a s/c is good for daily driving cuz you have the power all the time. a turbo you have to wait for but once it does kick in your gone.

lag doesnt mean too much.....all you have to do is brake boost.......or 2 step it off the line.....i have a t70 on a prelude 2.4ish. i can make 15psi by brake boosting.....thats the way i race 600cc bikes and beat a 636 by 5 cars. as soon as you let off the brake its like a supercharger....instantly.
by the way....its for sale also.

id like to see you beat a 600 in a prelude that be cool to watch dont get me twiztd here im not bashing u ive seen it done but by a viper truck never by a honda though if u can get sum vid on that id probly by your prelude itll be my first honda
Ive beat some 600s in my srt-4, and ive seen many hondas wax bikes. only thing i had in my srt-4 was more boost and turboback,

i've several hondas and shit tons of dsms totally wax street bikes......

infact i know this one guy with a street driven Nissian (just happens to be the 2nd fastest 300z in the land)...and he's toasted several 'busas.....

contrair to popular belief....street bikes aren't the prize....beating them is :)

That's probably from a roll, though. Go from a dig (real race), and I bet you the Cobra gets him if they've got roughly the same amount of power.
