still very little updates on this car. its basically sat in the garage all off season. I recently brought it out knocked the dust off, and put some new beefier tires on it for this year. also brought it to the MCCM us43 drag meet on saturday and made one failure of a pass hahaha! funds are being saved for the roll cage which if all goes to plan should be going in this july. in the mean time, the tennessee state of drift season opener coming up this friday and im sooo ready to really drive this car again! pics/vids/shameless plugging will come shortly after!

I was not using them to burn off, but as fronts for grip. initial impressions of the achilles atr sport 2's are great, I was able to hold MUCH more angle with the added grip. super stable in drift. I was burning off some basically new falkens all day. they felt amazing as well, and made good smoke!

I love them, they weigh less than my old 17x9.5 MB battles, and seem to be very well made. when new they had a flawless silver finnish, and Ive been kind of mean to these and the finnish is still holding up really well.

cricket cricket... long time no update. I have been pretty busy with the car lately, fixing a lot of small issues, to get the thing to 100%. also added some aesthetic upgrades as well, and took it out for another event last weekend!

but the REAL update is that I finally got off my ass and started the tedious process of gutting the interior in prep for the roll cage! im about 80% ready for it to go to the fab shop now, just gotta clean up some wires, and go to town with the dry ice! if all goes well it should be caged in the next week or so! really excited to get the ball rolling on this long overdue project!

while its getting the cage, im also getting an exhaust made, as well as some other small fab stuff. will update when all that get done in the next few weeks!

stripping an interior is not fun. and I only did like half of the job. but I got done what needed to get done for now. this offseason Ill go back over a lot of if and make it perfect for paint.

after that was done, I put the seats back in and took it to Chris for the roll cage! if everything goes to plan it should be done in a few days, sparing no extra time to reassemble everything and load up for knoxville this saturday. busy busy busy!

well shes all done and ready for an event this weekend! picked up the car with nothing inside except the cage and have been jamming on it all day to get it done and take it on a test drive! SOOO happy with how this cage came out! Chris Coffey KILLED IT on this build! thank you again man for getting it done with somewhat short notice! I dont have any pics of the finished product with the top down, but im sure there will be many after this event saturday.

only issues at the moment are that I am getting the warning buzzer for the tach not being installed, even though it is and its working fine, my oil pressure gauge is not working, and I have no power to the passenger door. pretty confused on that one, but at least the window is stuck up (again) rather than down.

Sorry if I have offended you Will. I think many of us just dont feel the same way about drifting as you do and feel starting with a rougher shell would have been better for everyone all around. Plus your talks of LS swaps arent helping things ;) I do believe you can have a clean drift car if:

1) You drive carefully/conservatively

2) You never run tandem.

However I am sorry if I have been out of line. I am still kicking myself for not taking a loan to buy this. Would have had a much different fate.
