Vols will go 2-10 this year.

Sep 5 W. Kentucky (win)
Sep 12 UCLA 4:00pm (loss)
Sep 19 @Florida 3:30pm (big loss LOL!!!)
Sep 26 Ohio (win)
Oct 3 Auburn (loss)
Oct 10 Georgia (loss)
Oct 24 @Alabama (loss - BIG TROUNCING WAITING TO HAPPEN)
Oct 31 South Carolina (loss)
Nov 7 Memphis (loss)
Nov 14 @Mississippi (loss)
Nov 21 Vanderbilt (loss)
Nov 28 @Kentucky (loss)

I predict Kiffin will be fired after a loss to Vanderbilt in front of the home crowd at old Rocky Flop, which will be just too embarrassing for the Tennessee Alumni, Boosters, and the A.D.

I LOL at people who go to a Directional School and or Community College hating on Tennessee.
who goes to a direction school or community college?

Losing to Vandy? Really? Not sure about that one. Damn, I can't wait for September.
Alabama said the same thing 2 years ago, and they got rick rolled by Louisiana Monroe.

the vols will surprise this year. they are one of the few teams in the east that isn't hyped up. florida, georgia or ole miss will have a bad year and not live up to the hype. i think it'll be georgia. you have to be kidding me if you honestly think ut will only win 2 games. i say more realistically it will be 7-4 or possibly 8-3, with the auburn game being the wild card.
are you joking? Look at what Rich Rodriguez did with Michigan last year, do you really think Kiffin is just going to come in and strike gold his first year? Not happening. If the guy were Urban Meyer caliber, then yes maybe.

and if you think Florida is having a bad year this year, you don't know much about college football.

michigan was a lot worse off when rich rodriguez took over than what kiffin is getting. i'm not saying he's going to burn a path down to atlanta like gen. sherman, but i bet it'll go a lot better than only 2 wins.

and i never said florida will have a bad year, i'm just saying they have a TON of hype to live up to. then i finished that statement off with georgia probably being the one to fall a bit.
yes I'm pretty sure you did say they will have a bad year. see your quote above.

but in all honesty, when new head coaches come in they traditionally don't have good first or second years. Even the Almighty Nick Saban had a 6-6 year his first year at Alabama, and they lost to Louisiana Monroe, a team they never lose to.

but I look at Kiffin's level of experience when I say the Vols go 2-12.

He did poorly at the Raiders, and he has no previous head coaching experience prior to the Raiders job...he was only an offensive coordinator for the USC Trojans, in a system riddled with talent and top of the line blue chip players at his disposal.

realistically, I think you can expect 3-9, 4-8, but anything over that, I think you're grabbing at straws and having wishful thinking.

not re-reading what i typed ftl :( haha. i don't really think florida will have a bad year though. will all they have, it will be very hard to have a bad year. but with that being said, there is a ton of pressure that may prove tough to take. i just hope to god nobody makes tebow promise again, that kid is money.

and i will admit that kiffin is lacking in the experience column. that's just fact. i still think he'll be better than what fulmer had been doing recently. don't get me wrong, i love fulmer and he was a great coach, but it just seemed like he lost the fire and discipline he needed to return to greatness. that and the sec is truly a murderers row now.
lol, it's all good man, just had to point it out.

well if the Vols Alumni, boosters, and AD can put up with a rough season and they don't run him after year 1, then I think he can and will improve the team over the next couple years, but he's not off to a good start by running his mouth at Urban Meyer making accusations like he did back in April, and Kiffin needs to learn when to speak and when to shut up.

There's also the recruiting factor. Players always look good on paper, but how will that actually translate to production and wins on the field? that remains to be seen.

gonna be a long year, for Vols and Titans fans alike.

but the future for Vols fans could be good if Kiffin actually turns out on the upside of things.

if you think TN is only going to lose to FL by ten points you sir are an idiot. look at happened to GA last a year AFTER they did the endzone celebration...45-10 loss and GA was preseason rank #1.

TNs BRAND NEW coach calls Meyer a CHEAT....100000000x worse than doing a team dance and TN has a MUCH worse team than GA and you think they are going to fair better in the Swamp? You sir a very very very much mistaken

BTW

well said Gator fan...im no Gator fan (still sulking over losing the BCS Championship to ya'll last year) but damn if you boys haven't been a dominating force that last few years.

Vols fan is off living in fucking lalala land for some reason. They have this misguided conception that Lane Kiffin is the next Urban Meyer...but then again, they do drink a little too much moonshine in Tennessee and spend too much time singing kum-bai-yah! to drown out their sorrows.

LOL More than you make in a month I'm sure.
well duh, considering I'm a full time college student and I dont work.

But even though I'm sure they'll suck ass, I can't wait to go to some MTSU Blue Raiders games. Better than sittin' at home doing nothing. a bad day of football is better than a good day at school lol.

2-10 with the vols...do you even pay attention to sports Wyatt?? i thought u just were not a fan of the titans after reading that thread...i don't even know where to begin with such a horrible prediction...mind you the vols are one of the only teams left that have never had 8 loses in a season..yes they won't be a great team...but 2-10 is worse than UK and Vandy do on average
yes 00Accord, I watch sports out the yin yang. I'm glued to my tv every thursday night, saturday, saturday night, all day sunday, sunday night, and monday night during football season. I eat breathe, shit, sleep, dream, and talk about football.

you have an entire new coaching staff. you have a bunch of new recruits who are untested, have no cohesion, learning a new defensive scheme, learning a new offensive set, you have no proven QB. It's just reality. few coaches come into a brand new head coaching job in college or the pro's and have success right off the bat. they have to change the mindset of the players, install their offensive and defensive packages, get the players to buy into their system, and then implement it on the field. It takes time to build a program. But with how Kiffin did in Oakland, and how he has thus far handled leaving Oakland, then coming to Tennessee and running his mouth improperly and making false accusations...i don't know if Tennessee picked the right guy...Kiffin just might be in over his head, but it's just something that will have to play out.

Dear wyatt,

Where is your legitimate arguement that TN will only win 2 games all year? All I see that you have posted in this thread is an obvious dislike for TN, which is fine. You posted their season schedule, your predictions on their outcome, and something about how Kiffin is inexperienced, and nothing more. So again, where is YOUR in depth reasoning besides the one point you offer to support your claim. I mean legitimate reasons besides your opinion and trying to stir shit up.
see the below posts I made earlier in this thread.

I'm not trying to stir shit up, I just posted it to get a good debate going. No I'm not a Vols fan, but I love to talk sports, and I love a good debate, it'd be pretty boring if we all liked the same team, and we all agreed on everything.

but in all honesty, when new head coaches come in they traditionally don't have good first or second years. Even the Almighty Nick Saban had a 6-6 year his first year at Alabama, and they lost to Louisiana Monroe, a team they never lose to.

I should elaborate on the recruiting factor, and by that I mean, he's never had to go out and recruit his own guys before now. Pete Carroll handled all of that at USC. How well will he do it at Tennessee? that remains to be seen. But recruiting is tougher than most people think it is, and Kiffin isn't exactly experienced.

so how bout them vols? it's been kinda quiet on this page. granted it was against wku, but still, it was refreshing seeing ut with an actual offense this year. crompton looked great for once. he had some awesome passes and of course the defense was playing smash mouth football.
so what about 'em? They pounded the shit out of some no name, formed Division 2 nobody. bfd. Nothing more than a tune up game. Now if they come out Saturday night and stomp UCLA like that, I might be a bit more lenient, but until they play somebody ranked and demolish them, I'll still be pretty naive about this season.

sad thing is according to Wyatt we are only going to get one more win this whole year...sucks...but yeah they looked good..7 different guys scores...380 rushing yards..but then again it was against WKU and we still had 3 turnovers
it's just my prediction. they can't turn the ball over like that against SEC powerhouses. You turn the ball over 3 times against Auburn, Florida, LSU, Bama, and they'll make you pay.

we'll see what happens Saturday night. I'll be at the MTSU game Saturday night, so I won't get to see much of the Vols game.

hah that game yesterday was pretty good... I am so happy that all of you UT fans can shut the fuck up about how "good" your team is because you beat a glorified high school team last week. Thats was a taste of reality, get used to it. im changing my prediction of yalls record to 4-8 after seeing that game yesterday
THIS!

Can't wait to see the Vols get the fuck beat out of them by the Gators next week.

gonna be ugly as hell for UT fans.
